Wow - I knew Deja Vodo were crap but they could have at least thought up their own title as opposed to just rehashing someone elses (I'm reference the excellent album from Refused "The Shape of Punk to Come" ).
I assume you never heard their debut album, Brown Sabbath.

I put it more down to the coverage format - trying to fit each feature money had been spent on
Heh. Like that wall sized touch screen that was only used to show running totals or parliamentary seats. The US channels at least used their touch screens to drill down to congressional districts when counting the vote. That was cool.

the excellent Therese Arseneau running a discussion panel.
Did anyone else think that her televised "analysis" in the lead up to the election consisted of painstakingly obvious observations and little actual, well, analysis? Or was it just me?

Also possibly going somewhere where Christianity isn't already the dominant religion... What happened to the pioneering spirit? Is there nowhere you can go and risk getting cooked and eaten any more?
Should we find a new frontier, I nominate Garth George to be point man for proselytising the noble savages.

You went to school? Who'd have guessed.
Difficult to tell, i know. But they did make a movie about it.

This James at Editing the Herald. Is he "one of us"?
There are more of you, Steve? Sweet jebus, I thought you were a prototype not yet approved for mass production. ;-)
The Facebook group says the blog is run by a person called James Coe. Interestingly (or perhaps not), I went to school with a guy of the same name. I'm assuming it's him.

Everyone knows that Hard News readers prefer Bridget.
Last Sunday's meditation is particularly intellectually stimulating: nerds geeks drips twerps twats dorks: advice for ladies You certainly don't get such deep critical social analysis from Ms Glucina. :-)

I'm concerned that a decision by Tony Ryall that should worry anyone with a stake in special-needs education has gone almost unreported.
Well, perhaps if Labour had an abler Opposition spokesperson in the Education portfolio this issue would get the attention it deserves. But no, not even a single presser from Carter.
Education is an area that Labour should be trouncing the Gov't, both on policy and politics, but instead they pick one of their weakest members to face arguably the weakest link in the Cabinet. It defies belief.

There is a rational middle ground, isn't there?
Apparently not, as this thread has so aptly made light of!

True Blue (Pakuranga)
To E Schrodinger: why don't you stop blaming other people for things that happen in your life and stop waiting for the govt to do things for you or give you handouts. Now that Klark is gone its' time for NZers to take PERSONAL RESPONSABILITY. Open the box yourself and see if your cat is alive or dead. Have you ever owned a business? Im a business owner and im so HAPPY that we have john key cos now we're free to open and close boxes whenever we want and see whether our cats are dead or alive. and i reckon that most of our cats in boxes will be alive now because john key is a smart self made millionaire. not like Klark who never owned a cat or a business or had kids.
