Craig, gossip sells papers and get's people watching the telly for more gossip. Saw an ad for a new show last night whilst flicking through channels. How about Celebrity Rehab.I can imagine that will rate well even if I think it should be at the bottom of a well. People seem to like being nosy with regards famous people or in our country at least, people we taxpayers are employing, and this is a fine example of the Sunday papers and TV having a Monday meeting saying, "didn't we do well" Jus' sayin'

The Tommy's crowd and her mates wanted the ceremony to be a celebration of her life but the family came in and held a straight church service.
So? The guys she worked with knew her well. Jeez let's face it, the people you work with see you the most. Theyr'e all Real Estate people and for two of them to have been together, I could imagine they knew the x well also. So? Irish can be quite religiously ( I know from my experience with my Family )so what is wrong with the family having a say. It's her family!The mates could want whatever they want, no problem, but the family are burying her.

I doubt that Rankin had any idea what she was being set up for.
Mark , she said she expected it. This woman knows the papers as much as say Helen Clark would.They have never been particularly nice to her. I suspect her recent job has given her a renewed confidence and she probably thought she would love to have the job back in government. Why not? Some of her mates are there.

Tariana Turia and Peter Dunne were on the selection committee. Paula Bennett was also who is supposed to know her well (pro smack lot including Garrett from Act.)
No mention by Turia or Dunne at selection process( cant remember what it's title is) about disapproval until the papers asked. I think it's another " job for your mates" and Dunne has sucked the Kumara because the Families Commission was his creation and it just got soiled but he should've said something at the beginning or shut up now eh?
Same for Turia. I think they look like patsies for the National/Act government now -

Initial reports from the people who tried it are pretty tepid, it has to be said. Very keen to try it myself.
