I'm thinking this can only be one of two people on there...
I'm thinking D4J and Master "Red" Bater.

Back to the OP Telecom screwed up when they named their ISP xtra
I forget how many bounced eMails I had before I realised that Extra wasn't Xtra, or vice versa and that's the price you pay for pretending to be "trendy" they are paying again now as many spam filters tend to pick up bad spelling as a way of eluding "bad word" filters. -
<kiwiblog>Perhaps someone in the bureaucracy wants John Key dead?</kiwiblog>
More things have been said on Kiwiblog about harming Auntie Helen than the police seem to have discovered in their bugs and wiretaps, methinks the cops are looking at the wrong people.

Hi Guys, I'm back.
Thank God you are all typing this and not saying it, by now you would have considerably contributed to Global Warming.
Ahh, Friday. Speculation day;
The John Key/Diplomatic Protection Squad is a doozy.
How about this one. Jamie Lockett, high profile undercover intelligence officer, just look at the guy's history and speculate.
The word Terrorism, the 2004 US elections saw the Republican use that word so many times that it almost seemed an act of treason not to use it. In fact if you remove that word from much of the rhetoric that is bandied about it all starts to make more sense. ie. instead of the Terrorism Suppression Act we just call it the Suppression Act. And for all of you that are saying this law is better than waiting until a "terrorist" act has been committed I think you're wrong. You have more chance of being hit by a bus, should we be arresting people for thinking about becoming bus drivers?
In todays news, man arrested in Ohio for planning to set up a military style training camp. Whatever next? -
Sorry, I've been working, how crass of me. Now I can play.
Police = StormTroopers
Helen = Emperor
Iti = Ewok rebel
Emily = Princess Leia
John minto = Luke Skywalker?
Roger Kerr = Darth vader (well he's tall enough and big money MUST be pulling the strings somewhere, surely?)
Pita Sharples = Han SoloHow about
Rodney Hide = Obewan Kanobi ?
Keith Locke = CP30
Murray Mc Cully = Chewbacca -
You've neatly divided the world into the extreme and the moderate.
Well. I'd like to think I was slightly less moderate than someone who was slightly more moderate to me and that is all I will accept.

I.O. said
To claim that some of these bugged conversations could be taken to mean the bugee was thinking of running for Parliament is facetious.
Facetious yes and deliberately so. The snippets, drip-fed to us by the Dom. post, do not tell the full story and as has been said from day one we may never know the full extent of the police case. The effect of the publication will only prejudice public opinion and the reason for my, rather disingenuous interpretation was to illustrate my point.

Best of luck Damien. I was in Afghanistan back in '72 before the Camel poo hit the Punka it was scary even then. I would not suggest hitchhiking in those part though, that was a mistake I made. I got a lift with a couple of Afghani blokes in a rather splendid truck only to find they were only heading 100km north of Kandahar on the main road and then off to a speck in the distance across the desert "you get out now" they said with a broad grin. That was the last thing I remembered until I was picked up by a tourist bus a day later. F**k it gets cold in that desert at night.

Actually, as long as we're going for ambitious rationalisations: knowing the temperament of certain people, perhaps they knew they were being monitored and delighted in saying outrageous things to tweak the listeners.
