On the drummer thing.
many years back, 69 or 70 if my memory serves me well, I was at a party in Blackheath, saarf east London. A certain Ginger Baker performed a little party trick. Sitting backwards on a chair at the top of quite a long flight of stairs he flicked himself backwards and proceeded to fend off stair-treads as he fell, landing on his feet at the bottom. This, he said, demonstrated his outstanding co-ordination. Apparently. -
Well, Happy Birthay Mr. Brown. May tommorrows hangover be mild and somewhat pleasant. ;-)

It's like playing Whack-a-mole with one hammer and a board the size of Scunthorpe.
Speshly when people use words like Scunthorpe.

Depending on how much time I had to spare I would have a bit of fun, take their photo, write in a note book (anything doesn't matter what) & say nothing.
I find a clipboard and stopwatch quite effective when dealing with Goons. ;-)

There is another point worth considering.
Text is easily searched. Searching for images is usually done by text tags so if the text tags are "coded" then the images will be harder to find. By looking for text porn the authorities have a tool that is useful in tracking down sites that MAY be worth investigating further. However, there is always the possibility of an over zealous investigation of some sites for many reasons. -
I understood CCD to be (Compulsive Commenting Disorder)
I won't say a thing, ....honest...I won't

I don't know if it's just me but it seems as if the diversity of voices on PA System is shrinking - or solidifying - a little more day by day.
I suppose it was inevitable, all these people agreeing with each other, or at least respecting the right of others to hold an opposing opinion. It's called CCD (Collective Consciousness Disorder) we all end up as an amorphous mental blob chanting "In Russ we trust, in truss we rust" or something.

it only isn't arse wipe (and environmentally unfriendly to boot) if printed on glossy paper.
Like, er, Slippery?

At this particular meeting a sceptic was pressing for specific National policy
That's the bit that got me. What was he sceptical of? the fact that they had any?

Could a discussion like this one where people oppose censorship controls be "objectionable" - on the grounds that it indirectly advocates proscribed activity?
Kind a like "You are either with us or with the Terrorists/Pornographers/kiddyfiddlers" kind a thing?
