Actually, I don't know what all the fuss is about as after the births of our four children I can honestly say it doesn't hurt a bit. In each case I was able to walk around straight away afterwards. No sweat. And as a father I know it all.
Congratulations Robert! Parents with a sense of humour must be winners! -
A charming read. Thankyou. I read to my two sons from the time they were a few weeks old until they were 11-12 years old and we loved it. My now 23 year old son is almost obsessed with books and spends every spare dollar on them. As a teacher, I say you are so right to enjoy his version of language as sadly his originality and freshness will be squeezed out of him. The system will see to that. Thanks anyway.

Weird is Good! Absolutely. Not the Record industry but Asbergers. Thank you so much the Brown family for such a healthy, funny, sad and optimistic contact. Actually "Weird is Good" could be the flagship motif.

Lady Codders is really Joanne Black who is part of an Alien Conspiracy who planted Donald Brash to prepare the ground for a messiah to be the Key to a brilliant explosion of Privatisation and good times for the chosen ones, and the steady filling of the "resort" at Gotchalomow Bay, of all those left wing Asians and Helen Lovers. You have been warned!!!.

In about 12 months the Haywoods will proudly enter a sure- fire winner for a Beautiful baby Competition and will commit murder on any misguided Judge who does not recognize the obvious superlative beauty of their child over all other contenders. You wait!!!

Actually the reason for Bishop Brian's push is to cause the Destiny ranks to close tighter against the "enemy." Choose a topic like a Christian country, or Civil Unions, or smacking or Helen Clark. Shout loudly, rally the troops and develop the sense that we, the righteous have defined the target. Result? We are winning and increasing our market share. Watch for the next topic. Moslems? Immigrants? The Devil?

Should Gordon Copeland resign since he is a List MP? It is the problem when people act on Principle. It opens them to accusations of lack of principle!

I am a great believer in democratic right to express an opinion, but over the last year or so, I think that the Listener editorials from Pamela Sterling and Joanne Black are pretty awful. Not just because they espouse right wing agendas but because they are guilty of passing opinion as though they are facts. The two women would do well as spin-doctors for Act or National but at least you could then read them knowing their where their loyalties lie.

<"Every-thing stays the same..">
I heard an interview with a journalist who spent a couple of months in Nepal, and she was asked what she had missed most. Her reply was ".....the news. I couldn't wait to get the back-copies but when I did I realized that some of the names had changed but the news was just repetition of the same same same news." -
I think that that "survival of the fittest" was a phrase created by an anthropologist much younger than Darwin, and did not mean what people think today. Human life is not the fittest in the superior sense. There is much life that is far superior: for example; bacteria, flies, sharks. People may exist because of a twist in chance and not the hand of "God."
