What happened to the Timaru woman who, earlier this year, was on the second charge of assault which this time was against her teenage son on the roadside in Canterbury?

Have just read Nicky Hager's Opinion piece in of all places, New Zealand Herald. http://www.nzherald.co.nz/section/466/story.cfm?c_id=466&objectid=10477286
That is two breaths of fresh air inside an hour. -
A breath of fresh air! It is so hard to find out exactly what the real issues are as the partisans cloud the issues. Thanks.

Does anyone know what the outcome was of the second assault charge against the Timaru woman who was charged with her husband of assaulting her teenage son on the roadside? I believe the woman was to appear in court earlier this year.

It is curious that every time I have heard/read Nandor Tanzcos ideas/perspectives he has sounded so reasoned and reasonable. Imagine what the level of debate would be like if the shouters and pointscorers in Parliament had to lift their game to his level!!

My regular barber is a woman who does a short back and sides regardless of what you ask for. Last time I was lamenting the waste of all that hair on the floor. She said that usually a man calls for it to feed to his worm farm but had not been recently. Hope he hadn't fallen into his farm! Awful way to go.

Nicky Hager was adamant that there was no stealing or hacking of e-mails. He said that important senior National Party people were supplying his information. Probably true. Truth usually comes out- eventually. Someone will speak up before the next election. Bet ya!

"People are not for hitting" "We don't hurt people"
Look I know it seems daft to suggest such an apparently simplistic action as constantly saying this at your house, or school , or church etc, but I have seen it work. Instead of a complicated wordy advert on TV, imagine a slogan stated by respected sportsmen/women: "We don't hurt people!" Unfortunately the message gets buried in the swirl of verbiage. Mind you the mum/dad, family/town has to live up to it eh? -
There is a solution that seems so simple that it would be ridiculed. Keep saying "We don't hit people." or "People are not for hitting." This in any setting: home, school, church, street, Parliament or everywhere. This is such a simple message and if it is said often and is demonstrably true, by modeling that it is true, actually works. It does not need long explanations, nor does need debate or the handing out punishments. It is the way we live! We don't hit people!

Wow! A very large bite to digest. This is the best collection of information that I have read and genuine food for thought. The Listener feature was very vague and maybe that is because John is a bit vague yet. The question of privatisation will be the most telling. Thanks for the blog.
