  • Cracker: Wired for Sound,

I feel like all you non-Powerstation-ticketed people are in a virtual circle around me, closing in, staring intently at my uterus...

I wont be channelling until March 10 midnight.then it will be "Push! Danielle, Push!" ;)

  • Cracker: Wired for Sound,

Several of us have had that conversation here already..

Yes I know that Sacha, I myself hinted waaay back, (before Damian ) but felt it rude to just come out and wish Danielle would miss out because she decided to time everything at once. ;) Still, what does that lot say? Yeah, God loves a trier.

(Also, I am clearly never leaving my house again

Ever heard of Murphy's law, you will give birth on the day. :) Soo, seeing as you and your husband wont be needing those Powerstation ones...

  • Cracker: Wired for Sound,

and I again try to get tickets, but fail (the guy at Ticketmaster told me they sold out in 15 seconds – he sat down at 9am to answer calls, and they were all gone by the time he’d answered the first one), I feel ripped off,

Same, but I was told 90 seconds, but the computer went down and although was back up by 12 on Tuesday. we were immediately disappointed. Thursday morn I tried again and from 9 until 10 past ,I tried 20 times with no luck. now I have Trade me advising of any new Pixies entries as Vector has some but we don't want Vector any more.Drunks were a total nuisance at the Crooked Vultures, which has put us off (plus the equivalent of the yellow star one must wear to get in and out and about the bloody venue). So if anyone has spares?....

but (sorry) watched the Pixies Gouge Documentary last night, and OMG,

    Isn't that a great doco?

  • Hard News: Hell's Bells,

Hope your friend gets some good ink!

Thanks Jack, I will pass it on but am pretty sure she has spoken with this guy and is hoping her sister will cancel in March. He has agreed to reassess when her idea is more concrete than just "I want a tattoo", not knowing what it will be. I offered to shout her one on her last BDO visit as she was holding my hand for the one I booked, but we couldn't decide on what "it" would be, and, I knew how spoilt for choice we are in Auckland. To really rub it in , I have been sending progress shots of my sleeve I have begun and now she is bummed out that she didn't take up my offer in January. The importance really is on knowing what you want. The last couple of weeks I have met people who have had lasers and cover ups but it reaffirms, mistakes can be fixed, and I am happy to say, my arm will look fantastic. Young guys love putting girls names up their arms, only to have to change them later.
Because I photograph all my exotic plants in flower, I have a nice choice of what will make up my sleeve. Trouble is it is addictive when there is minimal feeling on my left side. :)

  • Hard News: Hell's Bells,

Well Sofie - at least I'm not channeling Stella!
    (tho' maybe...)

Nah, Stella had news today that her boyfriend is dying and she is having alone time in her basket.Another friend with cancer,so she wont have her barking partner for long. :(
    Seeing as it's Friday....On a brighter note,
Does anyone know a great Tattooist in Dunedin? The only one my friend has found has a year long waiting list and seems slightly arrogant albeit with that much popularity, seems to have proven himself. I have promised to ask PA and she awaits your answers.

  • Cracker: Of Racks and Ratings,

    Why the beat-up?

I didn't think there was one to be honest (ok maybe a few don't like it) but Pip seems to have taken offence. The art of the discussion on this here PA, always winds around until someone feels strangled (in a good critical way) but hey. I reckon generally we like Campbell live. I do think Carol is a bit missed so surely it takes a bit of time to reset your buttons, adjust the Tie as such. In my book J.C. is the bomb!Humble, and By Pip's standard "the best" so praise all around.
I mentioned t'other day to a friend that if one compares Campbell Live to any other TV investment,it's quality 1/2 hour that I would prefer to be 1 hour and cut the news back. Take out sport that could have good stories behind them and whack it in through Campbell Live. Then it could be win win for the news as well. The News always feels like it should be over within 1/2 an hour, get rid of the fluff.

.He used to frequent the same takeaways as me.

Heh, when we first moved to Sandrinhamstan, J.C. wrote a comment and it had pride of place on the wall because he had told them he thought they had good fish and chips. My friends from Guildford know him and think he is the bomb also.Gren and Rita often sing his praises, that being from an older couple, wise beyond their years. I like that.:)

  • Cracker: Of Racks and Ratings,

    Just caught tonight's Campbell Live.

Yeah ,it was real. Actually I always like J.C. and his ability to cross many cultures, age groups, and with a sense of ironic humour. He seems warm and real. Kinda like one of us eh Sacha?
