  • Up Front: Boobs!,

I've been trying not to make it male-gazey by commenting on what I might or might not "like", because it's not about me and that's not the point.

I'd much prefer that it was about everyone thoroughly enjoying their freedom to celebrate the human body because that's just what civilised people can do,(then I might even want to join in) but, why is it not about celebrating what you like as a human,RB. Isn't it to expose the myths/preconceived rather common attitudes all over the world, in the broader sense. If not, then just one cleric has managed to get this much attention? Why do we have to make things like this about us and them? Otherwise it just feels like tit for tat.(ducks for cover) Jus' sayin'

Allow me to point out that the idea that "all men prefer large breasts" is, in fact, a myth -- or a combination of myth and widely held assumption.

Plus, not all women do either. Besides that, I can think of many other parts of the body that have just as much chance of me noticing. I think ankles and arms can actually be quite stunning. In total, I am more interested in the brain, especially after I lost a bit but It don't matter cause it's just in my head.:)

Although somehow the same argument could not be made for Boobs on Bikes.

Why not, and don't start on the road to choice versus exploitation. My tits and I would do what I felt like on the day/ whatever day I live in. If a person and their tits wants to drive down the road on the bike for a totally legal parade/ rally, who am I to argue? Why would I need to grant my permission, just as any person can wear what they like on this day in question.

  • Southerly: The Problem With Religion,

Completely off topic, but in a "thinking Atheist" kinda way, and I am being lazy looking for the Avatar disputes tribunal thread. Doing my usual ANZAC (cant get behind any reverence of war) watch a movie at Midnight, I decided I wanted to see "The Hurt Locker" for two reasons, that are this. My friend was Sub-Editor and won an Oscar, and I only found out this week and, well, it's my friend, and frankly, I was shocked.
So I'd have to think, having now seen it, (yes, yes, I know we Atheists aren't supposed to ) that, thought it was bollocks really. It reminds me of how the "The Blair Witch Project" got attention and then completely disappointed me also.I mean, Tin tin has better adventures, and if Hurt Locker was anything, it was budget. Pointless characters, suspense at the beginning to be let down with predictable ground hog day outcomes.
    Right as you were.

  • Southerly: The Problem With Religion,

"I'm an Atheist, my wife's agnostic. We had huge fights over which religion not to bring our kids up in"

True story, my man's mum couldn't make her mind up, then decided Agnostic. They went to an Anglican church once a fortnight. :)

  • Southerly: The Problem With Religion,

Enough atheist propaganda. Atheism isn't about thinking, as any acquaintance with them shows. It's about convenience.

So Roger, what propaganda do you follow? How convenient is that for you? How selective is your study with that religion and how do you deduce that, which must have "gross factual errors"?

'lest we forget' will turn into just another emptily parroted phrase, devoid of meaning or thought

What happens when it's over? Will it finish?

  • Island Life: Anyone can do design.,

    Seconded... more like 1975 IMNSHO.

That's where the one Sarah Horth links to fits better IMO, it is edgier and I do like their personal feeling behind their work. Inclusive definitely.

Some rangers still wore shirts with the logo on, although it was not included on new shirts, he said. It is also used by the harbourmaster.

Had a look myself but can't find a harbourmaster one either, but it does suggest it's an oldie, perhaps considered a goodie. I do like the Frizzell, Weston one but can't help feel if they got anywhere, Dick, would have to step aside.
Now on reading, I see Otis couldn't enter because of his dad.
