  • Stories: Famous blue raincoats, etc,

Docs go with out saying - they saved my anckles many times and I'm sure were the only thing holding me up from 22-25yrs after dark.

The best item clothing I had was my shirt of many colours, 1990-91. Inspired by Jordan Lucks shirt. It was of many patterns and colours - all bright, made of a silky nylon material . I stood out in the crowd at pubs, in a time before txt msg that was a good thing. My mates would see me and the night would carry on.
The only problem was the shirt was always blinding with the rays of morning sunshine and had to be removed, dumped in a hamper, burried under jeans in order to ensure it didn't blind anyone in the room.

ACT are talking about a Lt Col as a rogue staffer. Don't know the guy, never met him, but in order to get that rank he was valued highly by someone out there and has done two deployments for NZ.

  • Hard News: The Creepy Party,

Late again. Does anyone have a break down of the advice Heather Roy has been getting?

Lines like "we're talking about the speed the titanic is sinking" (or words to that effect) make Heather (& her advisor) out to be a big govt spender. - I like.

This sale of "excess" Lavs is the logic Mapp is known and loathed for. When it comes to Lavs, redundancy is a must. They might get shot or bogged down and so a spare is needed.

I suspect it is more of the Strike Force vs Lavs & Radios (Air Farce vs Army) battle for power/money.

The total destruction of ACT is a bonus, but what is happening with our Defense Force?

Wikileaks covers the spectrum from transparency to voyeurism. Of course in Sweden everyones taxes are public.

Like MPs expenses/sexual activities, I don't want to know, but corruption I want it dealt with.

Potential evidence of war crimes, or at least depictions of the hell of war. This is a horrible truth, and has a value to the world.

  • Hard News: Wanna Route?,

My morning commute is travelling West to East, into the rising winter sun, as it brings light to a foggy Hagley Park. A magic moment, always enjoyed at the end of Kilmarnoch St.

My bike to work is sometimes as good as the day gets, so at least every day has some good to it.

Matai Street West has parrallel infrastructure, of a cycleway off the road, very good. At one end is Christchurch Boys' High School and at the other Christchurch Girls' High School.

As for punctures. How about bringing back wooden wheels?
Place curved wood onto normal wheels & a rubber tread overtop for grip.
