The Seattle Police Department blog on with an FAQ on the evolving situation with marijuana and the law in Washington State.
With a youtube clip from LOTR on a .gov web site. Somewhat strange!

Russell posted this on twitter, worth reposting here - I've never seen anyone do this before:

Angus, the point (and even as I type that phrase, the sense of wasting my time is crushing)
I'm always impressed by someone who can see this in themselves on the fly. I can sit here and see it in others, but the other week I found myself 10 posts (and a moderate amount of internet research) into a stupid argument on facebook about whether the new Dunedin stadium affected the way rugby balls flew in the air, before I was able to step back and say "what are you doing with your life?"

‘Tintin, Snowy & Captain Haddock in The Calculus Affair’, Rue de l’Étuve 33, Brussels, May 13 2012. (Part of the Brussels Comic Book Route)
That's a fantastic way to add to a tourist tour of sites, as well as just generally improving an urban environment.

I read in today's ODT that Moa's share issue was oversubscribed by 124% (it wasn't clear from the article if that meant they had demand 2.25 times the amount of shares they had, or 1.25 times.
Raised 16 million, the shares went up 5 cents (from $1.25) on the first day.

Russell, can you repost the bank account for people to contribute please?
I keep thinking "I"ll contribute when I get some money spare" but that never seems to happen and I got engaged two weeks ago so I suspect it won't happen in the next few years either.

I hold concerns over the practice of Islam and these are based largely on what I regarded as universal human rights particularly os they relate to the treatment of women and gay people. Islamic Law does not treat women as equals to men.
Take this story written by a kiwi who recently went through Muslim marriage in Singapore:

I’m not clear on what his contractual situation is with TV3, but I assume any buying out of his contract would be occasion for a shitstorm.
I was tremendously happy that we'd exported him to Australia and they were paying for us to not see him being a dick. We could pass a hat around couldn't we for them to keep him?

With the appointment of Don Brash yes-man Richard Long (the long-time Dom editor, not the newscaster) to the TVNZ board, it’s quite plausible Paul Henry will be returning to our screens.
Sadly he's been on our screens with "Would I lie to you" on TV3 for several months now.

Roger, Daily show has never been geo-blocked that I'm aware of - at least to NZ. I've been watching it online for about 7 years now and have never had trouble. I find the full episode watcher somewhat useless, I just watch each clip at www.dailyshow.com/videos day by day.
