  • Hard News: Angry and thrilled about Arie, in reply to asnz,

Is the 3 month non association order up? If not, make plans, if so,act. Isn't there someone/s out here who can get them a chance to visit each other at least. C'mon, there is a need here to support them in the simplest way that the Police cant fuck up. An act of kindness would be to also get everyone organised to return their furniture when the time eventuates to piece their lives back together. and a cat at the SPCA has their name on it, surely?
Whether it be an earthquake or appalling Police brutality, the people of Christchurch need to help, again. Don't let the police win. That will be so many types of wrong.

  • Hard News: London's Burning, in reply to DexterX,

Eventually you make a human sacrifice and it rains.

I know what/where you come from DexterX , but let's for a change try the top 003% and the rest up there at the top income bracket of the country instead of always targeting the poor/suffering/ incapable/can'ts of the country and in many cases/countries exactly the same problems.
Happy to sacrifice fewer people who are able to afford it for the sake of humanity. I have nothing against getting up the top of the ladder, just consequences should/could be fair and if they would, I reckon all sorts of people will get along with minimal suffering. That's raining, in my book :)

I would have like to have seen segments thrown together and less people interviewed but hey, not my show. I always want more when sitting in on these recordings, because it is really interesting stuff, but as Mr Coleman (finally)said to me , he and I do probably differ on our views about quality telly, so, I’m just glad I can experience all of Media 7 stuff when ever I feel like it…. for now :)

Ok it was suggested, Winston was not jetlagged. He is serious.and I think to them, it seems unreasonable if one doesn't gettit/ not understand. I get the impression both Winston and Gluckman are on a scientific plane that is what it is and it is what it is.There is no need to make an impression. They actually are what you get.

Kind of my impression from the audience as well.

Well I did think he came across as grumpy, but being closely aligned to one Brit, I often see how him being more direct does get misinterpreted and I mean often. So,I'm now going out on a limb and suggesting a) He may have been jetlagged and b) he may have seen the segment that Jose contributed as being a bit of a mockery. The images put up of him with what looked like guts and the comments on sperm, did not for a serious talk make. He actually then had the conversation about how he didn't like the "blowing up stuff" imagery that is so common now in productions and I'm sure he noticed that amongst the imagery of himself. I now reckon the guy is just lacking in a sense of humour, but he may have felt insulted that he was made light of. I will ask our friend, and his, and Sir Peter's, about it tonight . Could be interesting....or not. :)

Unfortunately I am dreading that possible outcome,( although with PR these days, it will be in the name of safety) , but the Olympics will soften any blow. Perception will be everything and it must be an inviting place to visit for the games. But, history repeats eh. :(
Still, really sad that pick pockets are still rife on the streets. Then, why are they so desperate?Because we reap what we sow?
