  • Hard News: Dropping the Bomber, in reply to Craig Ranapia,

Then again, this bear of little brain doesn't understand why S&P et. al. are taken so very seriously

JK and Blinglish have spent the last 3 years telling the Country how important S&P are. How everything in this Country is only about the "money". How everyone in this Country should want as much money as they have. How we spend too much money. How it is necessary to borrow lots of money. How the ones with lots of money need more money and how much better this Government is with the purse strings. That might just have a bit to do with it don'chathunk?

I've never had the faintest appreciation for the Pixies.+1. Let's form a club.

Oh now I've heard all the crap I'm prepared to put up with for today.
Sir, I challenge you to a dual!. But hey,. I guess one can allow for extremely bad taste from the challenged ;)

ETA: It should go without saying that if Joyce - or any other politician - thinks Radio New Zealand has breached broadcasting standards of accuracy or balance, they have exactly the same recourse to the BSA as anyone else -- no more and no less.

Ahh but, yeah but ,nah but, yeah but ,but my butt....( JK's audition for Little Britain)
Maybe that wasn't good enough for the PM's office.
The BSA don't work for Papa Bear

We need to challenge John Key to start hearing.

Well all I can say to Mike Coleman there is "Good luck on that front " cos
Key hears exactly what he wants to and it generally is just his ego.
Even Simon Power used an interesting choice of words with this statement when reflecting on being with National.
"Some people go after the media, want to be in it all the time. That hasn't been my approach.

Sorry Christchurch but it aint over 'til you get rid of Brownlee. He firmly believes in their right to the spoils of the Natural Disaster. Like Vultures, carrion. Carry on Vultures.

And that really is the issue. The Prime Ministers and other senior ministers will not front for serious questioning about what they're doing.

Because they are thick and must be selfish if they are consistent with ignoring emails, requests for interviews, all from their employers, us! They have no idea unless it is getting their staff (accountants or lawyers) to minimise the risk or reduce costs. Bean counters don't ask questions, they just do as they are told and Lawyers, well yes, Lawyers. Did you know many of the National Party are Lawyers or Accountants.
Also I suspect, because all and sundry have to toe the Party line ,any views need to be scrutinised and that could take all week to gather the collective brain and that's a long time in sound bites. JK is a puppet on a string (I'd wager his money does help position because it's always about money with National). He is always ready to be hung out to dry when it suits the suits.

  • Hard News: Where are the foreigners?!,

The local pub up here North is a League pub but the Irish Landlord has been showing as much Rugby as he can. It is crowded with locals as is the Cavalier in Ponsonby. Crowded with locals. What I see is the pubs that have always supported the game are getting their usual patronage with any of their foreign mates in the country.Quite a selection of foreign supporters at least. Plus the crowd argy bargy is all in good humour. I reckon because they are sport pubs they have the right mix of extra staff as well as good viewing. Screens every inch of the pub. The game is just surplus, so they keep busy.

    Just for the record, I

Craig, a long time ago when the Earth was born, back on an Island Lifetime, I believed we could bring you forth into the light. And I do believe even an ol' scratched record will turn once more. Slowly slowly. Also, could I imagine you influencing RB commenting on his own post, Double D doubt it ;)

S&P calls John Key on his b*llsh*t Time to lose this Government of liars…

So, more of what we had 3 years ago huh?
Nice to see Audrey Young (phone press photographer on the naughty step) not letting a wee ban get in the way of a bit of truth.
