Seriously though, that's a really interesting demographic breakdown.
Yes, thanks by the way.
And I still have no idea who Kimberley Crossman is.

trotted out the same laissez-faire chicken and egg argument
It's pretty hard to trot on two legs, innit?

Schindler's Toys
Yeah, that conveyor belt and the whole holding hands thing over the abyss, you'd be a cold-hearted bastard if that didn't upset you just a little bit.

20% of PA readers spend more than 30 hours a week on the internet.
Interesting that the recent time-use figures don't appear to separate Internet usage. Where would you put it? Watching Television? Playing Video Games? Socialising? Reading/ Personal writing? Education? Paid work? All of the above, in my case at least.
ETA: I was going to add personal grooming, but that would be fallacious.

"Do you have a big scary dog?" ;-)
By the time I'd run round the house to find shelter from the rain and startled the poor dog from it's sleep on the back porch, there really wasn't time for questions. I was grateful it was properly tied up though, as I tripped during my escape.
I'm not trying to draw any parallels here, but this gives me an odd sense of déjà vu.

I do notice that some topics (notably the more political ones) get only a small number of women commenting.
For some reason I was thinking about the demographics of the various threads on here over the weekend. Maybe after seeing Russell's tweets and so-forth. FWIW, I avoid the political threads here now. Once bitten, twice shy perhaps. Like that Doberman when I was doing door to door Market Research for Heylen.

And... yeah, there's no excuse for that sort of carry-on, really. Pathetic. :)
Not at all. I wrote a reply fessing up to my own waterworks (Spoiler Alert: have you seen Toy Story 3? I mean when Andy sits down and plays with all the toys... enough), but decided not to for some reason. And I'm reliably informed I'm not pregnant.

I had to acknowledge to myself that I was basically trolling a lot of the time at Kiwiblog. Didn't seem right.
Pardon? You trolling? You make me look again I'll send you the optometry bill.
Being a bit sensitive (no I didn't watch Modern Family, but Bones and Toy Story 3 got me this week ;-) ), this is the only show in town, AFAIAC. One thing though, with this largely educated, and one might even say pendant wearing, editorial oversight committee (in a good way), being an errant apostrophe disseminator it can be a bit daunting.

People in Chile need a M 6.5 before they wake up, but small tremors are making people panic with a 2.9 quake elsewhere.
Look, we've got an inferiority complex. You could say we're famous for it. Can't we just take a warm bath in Epsom salts and move on? Or should that be a Parnell bath?

Dear Chch, its ok, we're fine. Dont send The Feelers.
Or Gerry Brownlee. Send the signing guy though, so he can tell us with appropriate sign language where to stick our non-quake event.
