  • Hard News: DNC 2016: Beyond weird, most…,

The word “feel” is a word that has no worth in true modern political discussion. But it’s a feel versus fact election and a young generation of voters who see through a southparkian blur of politics that said subject is so soiled, they see no reason to participate, backed up by a russell brand type coolness of surrendering democracy.

Its hard to gauge discontent on booing, that's why we have to wait for polls more closer to the election.

The election hasn't started yet. The polls now are very rough, historically they have been rough this far out. Also need to start breaking down the states, where the electoral votes are most vunerable and also a plan to recapture the congress.

Trump is almost certainly going to be a very weak debater, it will be painful to watch. Bernie is somewhat of a surprise to the DNC, he took off with a brilliant real message that the inequality in the nation is its weakness. He has focused the dnc message. Clinton is a good choice for the DNC in 2016. She has the skills.

  • Speaker: Are we seeing the end of MSM,…,

Well I just read an editorial by Johnathan Milne which basically shows Jonathan Milne really shouldn’t be writing about politics unless he does a little bit more reading.

Apparently Labour not backing John Keys flag mess means they have lost their way, wow, what incredible logic. Also if you are fighting a defamation suit you have lost your way because ?.

Oh and incredibly being concerned about a run away housing market is , of course, not a Labour thing, because Labour are not about that according to Milne, because they are about diversity which means they logically should love bubble house markets. I mean yes ,the party has it faults but the article once again would be sent back as a Not Achieved in any NCEA english exam I can think of. C’mon.

    Who is writing this shit?

  • Speaker: A Disorderly Brexit,

Actually now we are all pro-europe here in n.z how about a 35 hour working week and more taxing up the top. Let's show our support by copying France.

Of course, a beautiful home seems to numb social responsibility on average.

  • Speaker: The Government you Deserve,

Immigration should involve an adventure, not a run from frypan to fire, surely the elephant in the room is that a vast majority of nations are failing to deliver on the social front, hence the constant abandonment of homelands.

  • Polity: English canards,

I am sick of this bullshit bizarre framing of who has it the worst in N.Z. It's like English wants us to feel sorry for the Poor old rich taxpayers keeping the lazy poor in beer and ciggies. What a turd of a man.

How can someone like English sleep at night with poverty and inequality growing under his watch. He defends that poverty growth by saying that the rich are doing all the hard work because look, they have all the money.

English reduced the tax rates of the rich. They have all the money because he runs an economic con job that rewards the rich at the expense of the poor. It's immoral and pathetically illogical but fuck it , poor voters don't matter to him. What a shocker. To see poverty is heartbreaking, don't ever compare that to a wealthy person paying tax , this is why our politics are warped, this should be called out as utter bullshit.

  • Hard News: Media Take: Three decades on…,

I remember marching down Queen Street in 1986 for what is basically a human right. To be your orientation.

Jesus, in hindsight it aches me to think how long it took to get gay marriage accepted legally .All the parliamentarians who blocked gay rights over the next thirty years should be ashamed .

All those rights logically should have been awarded in 1986 yet the power of do nothing conservatism prevailed, kind of disgraceful really. This is a sad example of how obvious law changes get strangled by pitiful representatives, the major blocker is our lovely national party, they really needs to apologise for their incompetence and bigotry on this matter but that's how they roll. Stopping progression, stopping sensible law making, stopping sensible wealth distribution, it's a real thing man, political sloths.

30 years ago gay rights should have been awarded in an afternoon session in the beehive but bigotry dominated reason for 3 decades.

Good points, and yes he has been able to ride the coat tails of a well developed Paul Holmes audience , a silent majority (in reality a loud monied talk back minority) sick to death of an invisible, non -definable p.c that apparently controls their world .

Yes, Campbell has his flaws but his positives are massive.

It's the soft fascism of hoskings that makes him very ugly and I am glad that word is back because its a real condition amongst our right wing zealots, there really isn't any other way to describe such an ugly worldview of the supposed limitations of other less monied citizens. Hosking has no understanding of the wave of shit that is building up to hit him. Unusually I find an increasing amount of moderate conservative friends voicing amazement at his paranoid ramblings , not just the poorer half of the nation he seems to genuinely despise.

  • Speaker: Are we seeing the end of MSM,…,

Hosking is just idiotic. He makes no sense. It’s even more disturbing to read he is a bully. I can’t think of a more despised person in media. In a way I feel sorry for him because I feel he has no idea how much his simple dribble is hated . His legacy will be the most hated broadcaster in the history of this country. It’s bizarre to hear him try to relate to issues he doesn’t seem to have the intellectual capacity to fully understand. His housing commentary is so painfully woeful, contradictory and fiscally ignorant he really needs to just shut up and let the knowledgeable adults speak.
