I did whole light shows based on those properties at high school...

Pyrex dishes and overhead projectors - heat creates convection motion as well - hours of fun...

What are people’s thoughts on Simon Bridges Intercity commute?

He sure seems to be getting a lot of ‘love’ at The Guardian at the moment for some reason…
One puff piece by a Charlotte Graham-McLay
    https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/apr/05/simon-bridges-the-former-prosecutor-who-faces-his-greatest-trial-against-nice-person-ardern
and a piece he wrote all by himself
    https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2020/apr/03/in-the-absence-of-parliament-we-must-ensure-new-zealands-response-to-covid-19-is-the-best-it-can-be
Speaking of which the first ‘Zoomed’ meeting of the Opposition led Covid-19 Response oversight select committee was initially headlined by Stuff in their live coverage was headlined:

Live: Simon Bridges grills Ashley Bloomfield on coronavirus response

I emailed the editorial section to say that that did not accurately portray what was happening and was a tad OTT – so they changed it to:

Live: Special committee scrutinises Government’s coronavirus response

Hah! That’s way more accurate – that wasn’t too hard was it – gotta watch that creeping spin.

The other thing with the meeting was all the ‘face touchers’ – I emailed 6 of the worst offenders (cross-party it must be said) during the meeting asking them to try and set better examples, you know ‘lead by example’ – 2 responded and acknowledged the point 2 others noticeably modified their behaviour – Simon never responded or altered his ‘digital interface’ – c’est la vie

We all need guidelines that are mirrored on high and easy to understand – luckily we now have an easy new ‘social distancing’ measure – ’The Lying Trump’ he is 6ft you just have to imagine having a ring of flat Trumps around you at all times.

    ...someone’s failed ‘herd immunity’ strategy

Or 'Herd mentality' as I heard Trump refer to it as, today (he also 'misheard' a question about the rise in 'Domestic violence' as 'Mexican violence' - he never misses a chance...)

Forget 'Dunning / Kruger' I'd like to see the UK's skyrocketing 'death line curve' referred to as the 'Cummings / Johnson Death Curve' - those two infectees deserve such an honour. (Sorry for the 'reckons' - I'll take the Karma-hit).

Stunned to see Bauer pull the plug on their NZ operations - Opportunism on their part I suspect - but my sympathies and commiserations go out to all staff affected, some of whom are within this 'bubble community'.

    Stooge fright
I just caught the last half of ’Gimme Danger’ Jim Jarmusch’s Stooges documentary on Maori TV – luckily it is on their ‘on demand’ site for a wee while
    https://www.maoritelevision.com/shows/feature-documentaries/S01E001/gimme-danger

While there you also have two (2) days left to watch the excellent
’Rumble: The American Indians who rocked the world’

and 16 days to see the Janis Joplin doco ’Janis – Little Girl Blue’

and over at tubitv there is a great doco on Aussie ‘punk’ pioneers
    Radio Birdman

Can someone pop down to parliament and run off a few copies of that nice Ms Ardern for us?

Monoclonal PMs would have the slogan "I'm unity"

Now we just need something to mop up the 'free radicals' who think they can do whatever they want in the community at this point in time...

    Rare Heart
I’d like to share a You Tube channel I have been enjoying – Rare Earth here’s their latest one

    - I recommend dipping into their back catalogue and balanced world view…
(the 5-part series on the Balkans was excellent – now compiled into a long version )

The channel started with the Hadfield family – You may well remember Dad, Chris singing ‘Space Oddity’ on the ISS
