Moulty
Here's the Barbarians in action (Moulty featured from 1:30):

And if anyone actually comes up with any evidence -- as opposed to assuming -- that there's any collusion between the Herald and Key and his staff, I'm concede the point.
Here's your evidence.

'Unauthorised'. That just cracks me up.
Yeah. How exactly does one do an unauthorised interview?

26.4% is not a majority.

Robbery, since you're "a facts kinda guy", could you at least get the woman's name right.

Holmes interview
Yep, that was one disgusting performance from Holmes. Someone in the Herald's "Your Views Story" (what a grammatical disaster that title is!) asks whether Holmes might be so fawningly supportive if the woman involved was Millie, and not some non-media-star nobody? The answer is obvious, and Holmes is a vile hypocrite.
While I'm at it, the Herald should've charged standard advertising rates for that so-called "interview". Poor form.
As for Vietch, what can you say? I can't help but feel sorry for him, in a way, he being now the living embodiment of Tragedy (in the Shakesperian, if not quite the Aristotelian, sense). That said, it's time for him to accept that, for now, his career is toast, and make a statement to the Police.
Yes, I feel very sorry for what Miss Dunne-Powell has endured. I'd hope that that would go with saying, but just in case...

Is it just me, or is this media statement not available online anywhere, other than quotes in media articles?

Thanks for the report, Simon. I still don't know if the 80 is affected (though I can't see why it wouldn't be). Might have to, sadly, pass on the Classic for now.
-
I have an 80GB Classic and have never had a problem with it. I think the early problems with the 6th gen iPods (mostly with the 160GB) were sorted out with software updates. At $328 for a thin, palm-sized hard drive with a large-ish colour screen that plays and syncs music and video (including video out to TV) it really seems pretty good.
That's promising, if those problems have been dealt with. Specifically, I was talking mainly about the sound problems related to the supposedly inferior D/A converter in the Classic (does this not apply to the 80 Gb?), but also a number of other problems. If many of these faults still hold, I'm not sure I want one; in fact I'm seriously considering trying to find a second-hand 5.5.

But what if you need, say, 40+ Gb, and won't touch a "Classic" because of it's serious flaws? Are there any other reasonable options?
