Perhaps it's the chances of catching athletes foot in the wrong places.
Don't stand so close to them when they're in full flight!

Nor chicken.

I thought the Lone Star was a steak house.
You should see the "sides" menu.
Actually, that reminds me of what you got when you ordered "Big Chicken" from this place I came across in Thailand. (Not steak, nor women).

Usually just our flat- 2 guys, 3 girls, the occasional hanger on. We were shy & naive & wouldn't have set foot in the place otherwise :)

the San Francisco Bathhouse for any combination of: game of pool, sauna, refreshing glass of orange juice and a Nutoata bar. It was also a knocking shop, but they didn't seem to mind that we weren't there for that.
When we were going there (for the saunas too), there were no "ladies", just a rumour that there recently had been (our bursaries wouldn't have stretched anyway). Good sauna though, with a HUGE plunge pool.
And the Casablanca - good times with mixed grills & truckloads of white bread! They don't do them like that any more.

The original San Francisco Bathhouse in Welly (Willis St, rumoured to have once been a more seedy establishment that it was in the 80s) was notorious for drunken couples displaying their affection in the somewhat publicly sited spa pool.

Sofie, you say that like there's a chance of a smart aleck response.
I'm appalled.

"Inappropriate behavour..." hmm, I suspect it's something to do with members.
And dude, when Paul Verhoeven remakes the Grapes of Wrath, I'm confident there'll be a hot tub scene. Possibly involving Elizabeth Berkley.

And while we are on the subject - what aspect of the advertising business are you in Andrew?
Eh? Moi? I'm in the corprate learning business - I think Mark, when he said this:
Given my business, like Andrew's, is advertiser driven
Was briefly mixing up the names "Andrew" and "Aliastair". As is common, in my experience.
[:)]
That said, years ago it was my ambition to get into advertising, I imagined a dashing life of bursts of creativity & long lunches (and sundry stuff) with models & actresses.
Things don't always pan out the way you expect.

Al: Did you find a problem with clients? Did anyone not take you seriously because you were working out of your house?
Will they even know? We're Wellington based, but we work across the country - we've got an Auckland phone number & many of our Auckland clients assume we work there - it's all done with phones, email, smoke & mirrors. We don't get that many clients visiting & in any case, our "office" will be a short walk from the CBD.
