A simple equation in my book: there is no difference in lifting a story or a photograph from someone else's publication and putting it on your own publication without payment and attribution. Were I to do this from Ballantyne's it would be called theft (or shoplifting).

You well caught the shot that presented -- we were hoping to see the big moon too but there have only been glimpses with lots of filthy thick cold cloud.

Must be those new options 3 and 4 I heard could be sited somewhere near the old central Police Station on the Hagley side of the Avon.
Aah, hadn't heard the site. Adds up in an awful way. I don't think we need a convention centre at all; if so it should be a multi-purpose event "facility" -- that of course is not on the options list .
Worth remembering that the asset sell-off isTownsend and the Chamber of Commerce pushing the same old barrow. If the council adopted that plan, not one of them or National MPs in the city would return to power -- it's an electoral line in the sand in Christchurch.

Red kakabeak. though the picture looks pinkish. They were amazing for three years then the next year were stripped bare by a caterpillar and never recovered. I have found kakabeak like neglect, sun and very good drainage.

Used to be. We raised it from concrete and blasted heath -- one yew tree (by the beach?), a protea giant and a yellow bath full of gladioli. Twelve years of aroha and seaweed; we sold it and 18 months later the new owner put a bobcat through to make it modern and low maintenance. Heartbreaking.

Thanks. Love that Back Burn painting, wish I had known about the Simon Edwards exhibition -- I see it finished today.
Online has been a gallery substitue for me this past year, not as good, but still powerful. Marie Le Lievre's exhibition in Wellington is stunning. On right now. http://www.bartleyandcompanyart.co.nz/exhibitions.php?artistID=241&exhibitionID=&series=&k=&p=1&series= -

I took the trouble of watching episode 1 of The GC on demand... if it's anything to go by, I nearly had a shoot-the-TV moment only a few minutes in
I watched the 30-second GC trailer, having no knowledge of it until I read your inviting post. Unfortunately it seems it takes place inside the life of my stepson, a 23-year-old who resides on the Gold Coast. The characters even look like he and his friends. I can't go there.
