"middle eastern spiritual... shit"
Mildly racist too...
I'm still astounded. Who in the fuck defends assaulting children?
When I explain to foreigners that 'in NZ there was a law passed about hitting children' they're dumbstruck when they find out that there was public outrage, and one tenth of the population signed a law to have a referendum to reinstate the right.

But George , through empathy and tolerance and all that middle eastern spiritual my guide to living shit that the guys in dresses tell us about on xmas day..
WTF are you talking about? Is this a mildly homophobic comment, or a lame attempt at humour?
I would have thought it would be people standing up to those making the excuses. And not tolerating those in positions of influence or power who stand quietly beside those who are making the excuses.

ust so long as we can find some way not to hold this prick responsible for his actions - much like that poor misunderstood Veitch chappie. Right, boys?
How do we get it through their heads - them, their apologists, and the pricks in the media who are willing to put their names to excuses, that it's not ok.

Although Hal did once storm through to have words after I'd played 'Let the Music Play' by Shannon one too many times.
This is probably an opportune time to point towards a very good Shannon/Feist mashup.

I knew this Government would be good for satire. I had no idea it would be this good. They're writing it for us, literally.

Craig, Sacha, put it away, please. It's getting embarrassing.
JLM, I understand the need to contain risk, and act in accordance with the precautionary principle. But it needs to recognised that not all risk can be eliminated, and that acceptable low levels of risk do exist. I think that this would actually strengthen the position of the Greens with regards to toxic and bioaccumulative chemicals, which are in the field and environment, and are sickening and killing New Zealanders.

But what's this Residential Tenancies Amendment Bill they've sprung out of nowhere? Screwing over tenants in favour of landlords again...?
They're putting the RTA through urgency? Have I heard you right?

Ditto on natural health regulation.
Oh and when Kedgley gets on the anti-vaccine bandwagon, I want to kill her. Seriously. This is one area where her precious waving away of the evidence is harmful and even lethal.
It's a pity, and fucks me off, because the Greens have a lot of useful things to say about toxic chemicals, which are a major health and workplace issue. It deserves a credible spokesperson.

So, no rail for Auckland, because national will build a dirty great road in the way.
What major cities use trains anyway? Auckland has no need of such technology!
