Sorry Sam, but that made me laugh out loud. My bf was reading over my shoulder, read that comment and said "oh, is that the guy from Phoenix Foundation?"

  • Cracker: Sintax,

...oh, I'd probably be too bourgeois to wear that t-shirt though. Still, I reckon everyone should remember what that leopard's spots looked like in the 90s.

(also, hat-tip to chris for helping me decipher the lyrics. thanks!)

  • Hard News: The McCully Touch,

Re: Andy Haden, I'm very interested to get the following information:
    1) how many of his celebrity rugby mates have been charged with rape after having refused to pay a girl money.
    2) how many of his celebrity rugby mates have been charged with rape (or perhaps anticipated a rape charge), and subsequently instructed their lawyer to pay the complainant off to make it all go away.

(bonus info): whether Mr Haden can spot the difference.

Seriously, I don't want this bullshit "there are people out there...". I want hard numbers. Exactly how many slutty blackmailers are we talking about here? Should there be a public service campaign? WARNING: celebrity sportsmen, for your own safety, STOP HAVING SEX WITH RANDOM GIRLS YOU MEET IN BARS

  • Hard News: Public Address: Technical Profile,

I would however, love to know what all the fuss is with Chrome, and if it is so great, why is uptake so slow amongst your tech saavy (sadly not me) audience? Has Google lost a bit of mana re: privacy?

I doubt it. My guess is twofold:

    a) Firefox is already a very very good tool, especially for designers & developers - Chrome is still catching up on dev tools. I imagine it's the same with low uptake of Windows 7. If you're still running XP the reason to upgrade is far less convincing - I bet most of the Windows 7 users had vista.

    b) Chrome wasn't available for the Mac until much later on. Since all the release furore died down months ago, I don't even know if many Mac users even realised. I only installed it a month ago.

I am surprised at how many mac users aren't on firefox though. Didn't realise Safari was so well regarded. Now I think about it, maybe I only use Firefox because I only recently moved away from PCs.
