....part of NZ Music Month, Shirley Library (2pm) hosts The Terminal’s John Chrisstoffels on the theremin, appearing with with Anita Clark (of Devilish Mary and Holy Rollers)
Just marvellous, something fabulous (and free) to attend within walking distance of home and I'm in bleedin' Auckland, ain't I!
Russell, ... on tour with Hunters & Collectors.
somewhere I have photos of that!
I think I was driving a van load of freshly printed Shake! magazines up from the printer in Paraparaumu, and i stopped off to see Doug, Russell and H&C in Palmerston North - I recall a very boozy poker game with politically incorrect cards that the H&C boys had, or should I say i sort of remember that.Speaking of flashbacks I just saw Hammond Gamble play at the excellent Grey Lynn RSC tonight - They have Larry Morris next weekend!

an edit suite in Darby St., on the corner of Queen St.
I’m pretty sure I remember Willie Keddell editing The Maintenance of Silence in that space…
…before that it was just one of the doors I passed without knowing what went on behind, on the way up to work…
it was a very creative building. -
There are also those that swear by fasting to reset one's system - perhaps that flushes the system back to basic settings.
and there is also the use of other larger organisms/parasites for purging and intervention - and why not, leeches and maggots have made a big comeback as well
- needs must...see:

show some guts flora…
You don’t want me to tell you what I thought of your throwaway post about obesity being contagious, in all honesty.
I don’t see anything throwaway about that post, it is valid speculation (and I heard a similar dismissive attitude from renowned microbiologist/actor Peter Elliott on today’s RNZ The Panel – NB description contains sarcasm).
We are only just scratching the surface of our synergetic and symbiotic interactions/communications with ‘our’ microbiomes and microbiota and the affect it has on many of our functions – we sure as hell can’t function properly without it/their massive contribution to digestion (gut flora and fauna) and all over the body – they help synthesise enzymes the body can’t, recent research has indicated they can affect moods and and even myelin production, they have a hot line to the brain via the gut brain, parasympathetic system and the vagus nerve.
Other research shows we share and pass on these ‘tenants’.
Who is to say that decades of antibacterial dosing and intensification of uptake of short chain soluble carbohydrates (sugar) hasn’t changed the make up of our hidden inner society, resulting in a predisposition to accreting adipose tissue, and intolerance?some follow up introductory reading :

Hard News: Media Take: The Panama Papers, in reply to
No, no, no….the crooks are the cyber hackers that breached Mossack Fonseca’s security.
There is no evidence to say cyber-hacking was the source of this data (aside from speculation it may have been engineered by anti-Putin Russian sources) and if it is anything like the Luxembourg Leaks or Edward Snowden's revelations they were both done by insiders with legitimate access and USB sticks (or similar).
But Key does like throwing good money after bad it seems... -

Obviously it's a 'peri-scope' - ie the man is away with the fairies...

...how much potential there is for confusion and anxiety in air travel.
In which case I'd recommend not travelling Jetstar, they are cheap but ya need an iron constitution for lack of reassuring information or engagement.
Heck they even need to rely on their passengers to help with problems beyond their comprehension:
They circled the night sky above the suburbs north of Tullamarine, banking and waiting, and running low on fuel. Cabin manager John Chesson, 45, says this is when things got stressful. "Any longer and we would have to declare a fuel emergency, and then clear other aircraft out of the way. The captain was starting to get a little anxious himself."
The problem was the little boy. He felt sick. He was laying on the floor and would not get up, not even with the help of his elderly parents or adult brother and sister.
Chesson has dealt with disruption before. He has kicked people off planes before takeoff because of drunkenness, or racial abuse, but problems in the air are d
They call for doctors in cases of emergency, he thought. This seems like an emergency.
So he made a request over the loud speaker: "Is there a teacher on board this flight? Is there a special needs teacher on board?" -

but when they are caught on the hop it’s another story.
0ne hopes that it will be the wearing of his 'Panama Hat' that brings Key down...
