Hard News: "Because we can", in reply to
I think that when the Tea Party wake up and realise…
Thing is, those people are permanent somnambulists when it comes to realising anything approaching truth.
I had just finished reading the Michael Lewis’ Vanity Fair article on Obama and was wading through the comments, needless to say the Tea Baggers are still in denial and will believe anything their “controllers” tell them.
The current tactic of the Right(ious) is to trick Obama supporters into trying to prove negatives and asking questions with purely negative outcomes.
As with our own country, the negativity may well rule. Sad. -

Taxpayer funded (beneficiaries included because they also pay tax) to learn how to screw up vulnerable people
It's just to get the knee jerkers to vote for all the "good" stuff national are doing to the country. As long as you punish the people nobody wants to be you will get the vote of the people who want to be like you, comfortable.
The facts of the situation, however, are quite surprising.
Our tax system punishes the poor too
You really need to be quite careless to vote National or any of their ilk over there on the "Right" side of life. -

It still annoys me that people don’t know what a “Blogger” is, especially if they is one.
The word Blog is a contraction of “Web Log”, a page of HTML linking to other web pages you have been looking at. The purpose of the web log is to inform others that you are savy to the workings of the World Wide Web and understand how to link to other pages thus proving what a superior being you are. These people are often referred to as Cunts. -
Just wondering if that Production Bible uses the Comic sans font and if I would find the herald more believable if it were too.

I’d agree with this, but think the real problem with the coverage is that it is UK-focused, and misses the NZ perspective and interest.
If only we had public tv ...

England? Let’s just say there’s a pub in Greenwich where a barman and I were reduced to a state of excruciating mutual incomprehension.
Surprising, very few barmen in Greenwich are English, in fact last time I was there most of them were Kiwis apart from the ones where the "Management" and staff all lived in the same caravan.

I cant help thinking you have made this unnecessarily complex. it is as simple as. Do we have a split age of 20 off / 18 on or 20 across the board, if not, then the existing law applies.
This breaks down to a yes vote equates to 20 across the board, for the most extreme. change, no, for the split thus leaving abstentions for keeping the existing law.
That way the majority get to stay down the Backbencher.
Simple. -
Russ, that is a beautiful piece, with the appropriate note of bitter, quiet rage.
I was thinking today about the totally callous and "superior" attitude of the sad excuse of a government we have. Instead of asking "What would you like to do with your land and how can we help?" instead of congratulating those that went ahead and built on their land and offering help and hope. they order us to make way for convention centres and stadiums.
The stupidity and the lack of empathy is beyond belief.
