Capture: Autumn lite, in reply to
Thanks for the tip: I have just snaffled a near-new Raynox DCR-250 for $60. Will have to wait for the lense to be fixed now.

peppers
Red peppers, smoked paprika, squashed garlic, and Black Krim/Marmande/Tigerella tomatoes and thyme from the garden cooked until it's sticky and sweet has been my go-to meal base this summer and autumn. That picture makes my mouth water.

I'll be investigating the Phottix, and Jos's Raynox clip-on, and the Marumi filter....hours of fun until I get my lens back from the surgeon.
Some wondrous photos on here today; the tui, Pakiri and the backlit rose are three I specially like.

Cara happy: walk, warmth, and a snack of two walnuts (shelled by her helpers under the tree). It's a pedestrian snap other than the fact Cara -- a basic model fat labrador -- radiated pure happiness this morning while we gathered sweet chestnuts in the sun, the monarchs played around our heads, and the nor'west blew golden leaves like rain.

got some low cost extension tubes for the 50mm Canon. I sense a whole new world opening up
I'm looking at those; apparently filter-type macros are available too. Why choose the tubes? Anyway, I must wait: a broken mount means the lens is awaiting surgery.

you &/or yours' may find the little eggcase around that area
I found some egg-cases on the front window frame (full sun all day) when I was doing some scorched-earth gardening beside the house yesterday (total clear-out because we must find all the quake cracks in the foundations).
Love all these woodpiles, verdant views, flaming creepers, cats, and lichen/seaweed. Has anyone a fine woodshed to share? I seek inspiration for the next project.

I was inspired to capture Tiger by your leaping cat who looks like a super-hero.
