  • Speaker: It's On,

Bit of a sporting wonderland at the moment - if the stars align nicely we will in about 7 weeks time see AB's getting the worlds biggest sporting monkey off their backs, the Warriors winning the NRL, and Liverpool still top of the table :)

go with 2 of 3 - Liverpool is a bit of a stretch

  • Hard News: Pills, not so many thrills,

Meanwhile, panic in Limerick over BZP-based party pills in Ireland's head shops. It's a reasonable guess that they are New Zealand-made products.

Not quite sure if panic is the right word, Limerick – known to the rest of Ireland as “stab city” highlights the dark underbelly of the Celtic tiger, not a place to venture out to a party by yourself after dark.

And you don’t need to go to Venezuela to find an AK47

“AK-47s, sub-machine guns and long-range rifles have all recently been found in estates just a 10-minute walk from The Track.”

also, the thick end of a NZ$200 million Lotto win puts the NZ offering in some sort of context

  • Hard News: This just in: Sky over Tasman…,

John Key did go to a strip club, but he was the most junior member of the group, and just went along with the majority. He did not actually support going to the strip club himself, but supported their right to go to the strip club, and anyway it was a long time ago and he doesn‘t recall. Today he says he would not go to the strip club and insists he has no plans to join his old friends in the Coalition of the Willies.

You forgot to mention that he kept his eyes closed

  • Hard News: Idiotic and lamentable behaviour,

This post has really nothing to do with the content of this thread other than the fact that it might help people chill out a bit.

So from today’s Dom, in its review of tonight’s game between Manawatu and Tasman, Manawatu coach Dave Rennie referring to Argentinean fullback Francisco Bosch is quoted as follows:

“he’s a typical South American, he’ fairly flamboyant. But he’s a really good bugger and certainly popular with the boys”

Translating that into Spanish would be an interesting challenge

    Only in NZ Rugby :-)
