  • Hard News: Standing together, in reply to Matthew Poole,

I don’t recall Helen rubbing shoulders with any of the Maori Party’s supporters over dinner.

You will find that National Party Supporters were there as well as a few token Maori . This was tea alright ,just not in a cup like John Banks had.

you’re going to find a way to let everyone who’s there get a little bit of one-one-one time.

It says everyone in the room is for sale and Keys out peddling the cost.

    It speaks of money.

Indeed. That's the question worth pursuing which is why the letter was sent. The fact a Law Firm did it is just that it cost heaps.
It is also elitist to ban Native Affairs.
Plus, what the hell was that last night. Another worthy Native Affairs breaking News investigation into the Charity fundraiser for donations for the Maori Party. $5000.00 a plate. The Northern Club. John Key, guest Speaker, changing seats to be easy access for confidential conversation.
    Elitist Maori only thanks

Any way, why does a stern letter have to be seen as bullying ?. Would it not be a lapse to NOT point out the full implications of a transgression. And it seems that the changes made to the web site have resolved the matter, that would appear all that was really required.

Yes. Chen Palmer are representing a client. They are doing their job. I'd be pissed if my lawyer didn't act in my best interest at $450 an hour so don't really see the issue here.
Off track a bit. Deborah Manning who said Cunliffe was inhumane when representing Ahmed Zaoui is now his deputy chief of staff. I can see that could be construed as odd but I see it as the Lawyer's got skills. Obviously ones that got noticed.

I thought that was my point, I just left the writer to (in)articulate it…</sigh>

Thought that was your point too.
Just get on ya bike already Mr Dalziel! ;)

  • Hard News: To be expected, in reply to Craig Young,

What about ‘traffic light coalitions’ that might conceivably include Labour, the Greens and New Zealand First?

In Bryce Edwards' live chat with Winston yesterday, Winston said what he felt about the Greens and it wasn't bad .

Forgive them Lorde for they are Australian…;- )

Some people enjoy sultry music ,others like pop. This writer seems to find music in general a pain. But the comment that Lorde said "In a perfect world ,I wouldn't do interviews..." makes me kinda understand how a writer writing about music and musicians /Solo Artists would find that a bit precious.
I haven't listened to Lorde enough to know if I like her or not to be honest but I do know I love Dido and that journo seems to find all music and Laneway a waste of time. Pretty spiteful. Not an enjoyable read at all.
Ha! I just realised ,it's called The Monthly.....:)

Glad to know. Our next project is to restore an old boat. One we can take up the Taipa river also. It's wonderful how boats can leave the beach and head up there and a friend is at the end point before the mini waterfall so that's the plan. The fishing is fantastic too.
Here's one t'other restored for a friend a few years back. Ethel is her name
I'd have to go digging to find current images. But She is beautiful.

Philip K Dick eat yer heart out…

    Plus the Veterans’ Support Bill
Although this Bill is better than the !954(?) Act, can we at least recognize the efforts these people have made without insisting they be disabled to receive full recognition. Their time left here is short and to suggest its not worthy of note now is shameful. Simon Bridges should feel ashamed to ignore the RSA submission.
Instead let's fork out whatever necessary to make sure the Royals have a happy time. Emmerson has it in a nutshell.
