It's really hard to find a venue to skate in here in Wellington - for training or for bouts.
Is there a reason you can't use any of the inline hockey rinks in the city? Too expensive?

I'm not going to promise, or even ask, that the comment thread be that way. What you read from this point on is your own responsibility.
I'm one of those annoying (and sometime, annoyed) people who doesn't feel they can watch something from halfway, or miss out bits in the middle. Just feels wrong.
Hence, being late catching onto Outrageous Fortune, I own series 1 - 4, but didn't get 4 and watch it until 5 was part way through. Hence I've ignored the fact that 5 is on, as there's no way I could jump.
No doubt when 5 is out, I won't have money, and 6 will start before I get to buy it.
This is all by way of explanation, that this will be the first PAS thread (including the copyright one), that I won't follow religiously. Umm, Emma broke the internet, or something.

You're right, and that's a looming dose of public outrage ahead of us.
I think I need a long preparation period to get through the howls of "nanny state stopping my TV from working".

None of us are typically well informed about the hundred really shitty things that can happen to our kids in utero or after they pop out, before they happen. I knew nothing about Downs Syndrome until my niece was born, I still know only a little.
Even some years on, parents are typically fighting and scrambling to try and learn as much and get as much for their kid as possible. That doesn't make them ignorant. Just amateurs trying to be doctors/occupational therapists/social workers/psychologists/psychiatrists as well as parents and everything else they've got going on in their life.
As Russell points out, it'd be nice of the media didn't stick the boot in further by not taking 5 minutes to phone up an independent expert or do a little research before putting it on the TV.

Meh. Your team will be lucky to get past the second round. Once it goes to game 7 you're pretty much an automatic loss based on recent history. Three in a row going back six years?
