The technology exists for somebody in the UK to take the off-air broadcast of the FA Cup (or anything else) and stream it to the rest of the world.

This is how I get all my ice hockey - a bunch of wonderful volunteers in North America copy all the games and upload it for torrenting.

It makes me wonder if there's a bunch of people out there in the world desperately missing All Blacks games, and I should return the favour (if I had a HDD drive).

I was also quite happy that the coverage had less of this

    I'm not down with motorsports.

What does a Grid girl do? I mean, obviously look attractive in tight clothing, but what's the grid?

Does every team have a set of these, or does the host country provide a set for the whole event?

The Al-Kharafi family, of Kuwait, are planning a bid to buy Liverpool for £500M (though admittedly this is £100M less than the asking price).

I've never been there, but I hear you could buy the whole city for that much money.

And in one very odd twist of bad recordkeeping, one of my student loan bills was sent to his office in Parliament. I have no idea how it happened, but i do know he didn't pay it.

Well he clearly was a terrible Minister of Internal Affairs. Refusing to pay your student loan bill! What's the world coming to?

Another reason - that rare beast, local political satire done well.

See, I got, funny.. haha... amusing... wait! I know him! You can't do that!

    Guess it's all perspective.

It takes the complete lack of a village to raise a child, you mean?

Well in this case it was complete lack of parents.

Nah, just that from my point of view the problem that might warrant such an action doesn't really exist.

Russell, the way you're talking down this serious conflict in your life has me very concerned.

I think we need a Royal Commission on the issue, where everyone can really get down to the nitty gritty of how they're feeling, followed by a PAS and Herald readers big group hug.

I reckon that given enough time I could prove that between making the Lycra from hydrocarbons and washing it to ensure that it isn't unacceptably smelly, Lycra clad cyclists emit more carbon per km than a 50cc scooter.

I suspect it would take about 10 minutes to counter prove that your argument is well and truly outweighed by the increased carbon used to make a scooter over a bicycle.

  • Obamania, For Real,

Mind you, I think their post-inaugruation episodes have been pretty solid so far, even if you can feel the political ground moving underneath their feet.

I thought Friday's (Thursday their time) show was weak, relatively to the past few weeks.

I think the political stuff will take some shaking out, but come a year or so, it will be less of a focus, but still there.

That was a blow to the self esteem. But no matter, we couldn't have gone anyway - the babysitter who can deal with our middle child ain't born yet.

Apparently, you should move to Hawkes Bay. Voila! No babysitter needed.

I'm amused that people feel the need for Russell and Bill to resolve any real or not real differences in a public place.

It's the result of reality TV. Not only do we all need to step in, but we need to do so publicly on live TV raising money for Ronald McDonald House, or something.

All because the two people are world famous in New Zealand.

Also, the law doesn't allow you to smack children 'when they deserve it'. Smacking children because you're pissed off with them takes us back to one of the statements in the advert which Russell appears in.

If you're angry, go punch a punching bag, not another person.
