The Wire - Season 4 in NZ?
-
In the DomPost Top TV Picks this week, Philip Wakefield, lists The Wire as his number 1 pick.
1. The Wire: After being Wire-less for too long, TV2 belatedly resumes the outstanding crime drama from its fourth season (the fifth, and final, is screening in the United States). In focusing on children as the biggest casualty of civic corruption and urban decay, USA Today said this season “triumphs both as art and indictment.”
Tv2, 12.25am, Tuesday.
I can't see it listed on tvnz's on-line schedule, however. Not tonight/tomorrow, or this morning when I'd have missed it, or next Monday/Tuesday morning.
Fiona (or anyone) got the details?

12.25am. Way to prioritise one of the best shows ever made, TV2.
I'm currently at episode ten of season four, and my heart is in the process of being broken into tiny little pieces by those four boys.

Hah!
Mystery solved. Not today, not tomorrow, but next Tuesday morning. And TVNZ's online thingee only goes until just before midnight. It should be there tomorrow.

I found it last night on my MySky schedule, too. So yay - it is there, and I can rewatch the season in perfect clarity. The bootleg DVDs I've been watching are of slightly dodgy quality.

Would you believe seasons 3 & 4 of The Wire are finally coming to region 4?
Man that took a while!

'Regions'? What are these 'regions' of which you speak? :)

Do you get close captioning on My Sky recordings? I could see myself rewatching the wire if it meant being able to flick the subtitles on at key times.
