Radiation: Pathetic, not

Origins sounds kinda cool - but does it mean that the series will totally whore itself out and become Mutant Idol? Will the humble everytelepathman like Parkman have a chance to make it, with big flashy super-strippers and kitana-wielding-timelords around?
I worry sometimes. I hope that Marketing doesn't use Origins as an excuse to have its wicked ways with the show.

Keep 'em coming.
Yay for Jericho (and How I Met Your Mother - but on Saturday).
Naturally, however, Baldrick's series screened on TV One last year - 11am on Saturday mornings. And for a guy who watches a lot of Saturday and Sunday morning documentaries (Sunday afternoons on three now too) I was underwhelmed - not the hidden gem I'd hoped I find (and sometimes do).

Yikes, watch out for the latter bits of that the Soprano's Whack Jobs list unless you want all the highlights from the new episodes! Venture past No 9 at your own peril!

Eek, sorry, we have friends in America and are a little ahead on the Sopranos and I lose track slightly of where it's up to on NZ TV.
Forgot to also say that the Inside New Zealand SAS doco (Thursday on TV3) is quite good, although basically it just shows that guys who become SAS are well hard. It has a strange remove because you're not allowed to see their faces – unlike reality shows where all you see is the emotion on the faces.
Also Kidnapped is really good (Prime, Sunday night), but it might be a bit hard to catch up with what's happening. It's got a touch of the __24__s about it; Jeremy Sisto has a gorgeous computer assistant who cracks into secure computer systems while he's out in the field. Or at least it did last night.

Yes we started to get into this and then missed a couple of ep's, not good. Sunday is not the best night for trying to keep up with a series as I'm more likely to slope off to bed trying not to think about what Monday has in store...
Good show though, from what I saw of it.

Friends in America, eh. I guess that means I have friends in the UK who are keeping me up to date with Doctor Who and (OMG) the latest series of Big Brother.

Your friends might also want to send you - in suitably small pieces - an excellent (and funny) doco that aired on the Beeb last week called 'Bust My Ass' - about the erosion of civil liberties under Blair.
People here should see that before Annette King starts talking about ASBOs again.

Speaking of the UK, was the last episode of 'Shameless' the best use of fake semen in a TV drama ever or what?
The cum slurping on TV1's 'Truth About Food' probably had a higher potential for TV outrage due to screening time and viewing audience but 'Shameless', normally a contender for best TV naughtiness, really went to town last week.

Shameless is easily the best TV on at the moment

Sue,
and you forgot that without America's next top model Friday is now dead TeeVee. I can't believe they didn't replace it with project runway.
I've had to resort to bitorrents

FYI: Flight of The Conchords are on Letterman tonite (Wednesday) at around 11pm on Prime.

Meh... quite spooky what riches are out there if you want to spend no more than $20 on a shiny new DVD. Yeah, I know it's going to get Doctors Cullen and Bollard upset, but if I can tip the Kiwi economy into the abyss with the occasional armload of discount DVDs...
And when are we getting the new series of Doctor Who, Fiona The Wise and All-Knowing? Freema Agyeman hasn't been lynched by mobs of Billie Piper fans, and it looks like the last three episodes are going to be spectacular: Derek Jacobi! Captain Jack is back! The lovely John (Life on Mars) Simm as the mysterious Mister Harold Saxon, who (of course) is up to no good at all...

but no, we'll bump Letterman and play the League instead. Which means Prime won't play it because they never do (when an episode gets bumped) and they probably have no clue they were on anyway.
Oh well, watch it here instead

Craig - apparently the new series of Doctor Who will begin screening on Prime around mid-August.

Paul, my little greeky heart (just the one, sadly) runneth over...
