The authentically batshit Teabagger Michelle Bachmann is pushing for a House leadership post.
Ah, yes... This woman who pulled a $200 million a day state visit to India out of her arse. (H/T @publicaddress via Twitter)
Bachmann-Bullshit Overdrive is functionally brain-dead (zombie!) or a stone cold liar (bad seed!). Either way, she shouldn't be allowed a leadership position at a kindergarten cake stall.

You know, I've been following the "Obama's $200 million dollars a day trip to a place with foreigners!" news story since yesterday and I still don't understand why Bachmann would try to push it. It's so blatantly unbelievable it can't possibly be intended to be accepted by anyone except those that make up the crazification factor.
It's like she's starting off pitched way too high. Anything they allege during the next two years (Omaba has a secret Muslim anchor baby in France, Nancy Pelosi eats the hearts of Christian children for brunch, Joe Biden likes tofu, etc) will seem like small change in comparison. She's either trying to force Steel and Boehner to start impeachment proceedings, or else they think that they'll have something really juicy to use as ammunition in six months' time.
My favourite freakout is still the theory that Obama is Malcom X's love child though. That one's a doozy.

Where does she rate on the Palin Scale? If Sarah Palin is the benchmark at 1.0, I'd wager Bachmann rates a 1.7.
-
Is it a standard scale or does it go up exponentially like the richter scale?

To measure the insanity of Bachmann you take 1 Palin, multiply by 27 3/16, divide by pi cubed over mc2 then throw yourself in front of a bus.
-
And then raise to the power of the fluoride level in the drinking water squared.
-
I believe the scale is logarithmic.

I gather Fox News has been airing it like a true thing.
I'm sure they don't really believe a state visit is costing more per day than the entire Afghanistan war -- but their credulous viewers will be suitably enthralled.
FWIW, the best guess seems to be that Bachmann got hold of a figure in rupees (200m rupees = $US4.5m) and was too goddamn stupid and/or crazy to convert it.

Got something against Werewolves, huh? HUH?
[sigh] Everyone always overlooks the Ghouls, Wights, Liches, Wraiths and Bogarts.
There's more to the alternative unlifestyle than your vanilla zombies and werewolves, you know.

you sure you got that right?
I can't believe they've only spent $200 million on the war in Afghanistan...
seems like a bargain. -
Do we have witches in our parliment?
Anyone got a link to the Greens Parties?

Ah, could've been clear there.
The lunatic allegation is that a day of the presidential visit costs more than a day off the Afghanistan war.

Yes, you left out Mummies, Banshees and Spectres. Also, I don't think werewolves are considered undead. Lycanthropy does seem fixated on wolves though. Where's the werebears/tigers/rats?

In True Blood

Happy Parihaka Day everyone.

Salem's Lot...
Do we have witches in our parliment?
Well we do have a witch-finder general at TV3 - Dunkin' Garner...
-
South Africa has a publicly wiccan MP.
From a conservative American perspective, the atheists in our parliament may be worse.

But is he a donut?

That's funny, Lucy. After Henrygate, I'm missing broadcasters that hold their 'talent' to professional standards:
MSNBC has suspended star anchor Keith Olbermann following the news that he had donated to three Democratic candidates this election cycle.
"I became aware of Keith's political contributions late last night. Mindful of NBC News policy and standards, I have suspended him indefinitely without pay," MSNBC president Phil Griffin said in a statement.
Politico reported Friday that Olbermann had donated $2,400 each to Reps. Raul Grijalva and Gabrielle Giffords of Arizona, and to Kentucky Senate contender Jack Conway. While NBC News policy does not prohibit employees from donating to political candidates, it requires them to obtain prior approval from NBC News executives before doing so.
In a statement earlier Friday, Olbermann defended his donation, saying, "I did not privately or publicly encourage anyone else to donate to these campaigns nor to any others in this election or any previous ones, nor have I previously donated to any political campaign at any level."
Griffin's statement underscores that it was Olbermann's failure to obtain approval, and not the actual political donations, that prompted the suspension.

Speaking of which, Paul Holmes is up for his 3rd stoush with the broadcasting authorities. Firstly, his egging on of the Generation Lost astroturf job. Secondly, the Cheeky Darkie episode. And now, his taking sides in the Hobbit War.
-
I hope they nail him. Whatever I think of the Hobbit War, his "interview" was truly appalling.
-
"When Jackson calls you clueless and tells you to go home - this is a New Zealand-produced genius, the likes of which we'll never see again."
There are very few comments, made by an ANZer to another ANZer about another ANZER, that make me cringe.
That one did.
Isnt it time the clueless Holmes retired to somewhere else? The Gold Coast of Oz would suit him & his ego really well.
-
So Holmes doesn't believe this is about a movie industry but something/one - "the likes of which we'll never see again".
