The state NZ’s arts are apparently in according to Chris Finlayson. This in the year that Wellington’s Downstage Theatre closed its doors, and literary journal ‘Sport’ loses its funding.
Also the state TV Drama is supposedly enjoying. This in the year NZ sees the cancellation of 'Go Girls', 'Nothing Trivial'. 'The Almighty Johnsons', and 'The Blue Rose' due to indifferent ratings.

That's fine by me. It was kind of spooky how said word magically didn't appear.

It's been declared word of the year elsewhere, but "selfie" has been utterly ubiquitous this year and really sums up something about the zeitgeist in general.
