I'm wondering how UFB is going to change the dynamics. The typical fibre plan has enough upload speed to send out a decent quality stream from home. More and more TVs, settop boxes, and game consoles are capable of receiving streams from the internet.
What is missing is a local equivalent of something like Ustream to host and aggregate the programs into "TV" channels.

Lets go one step further – what would it take to get PAS as a Freeview channel? It seems like this is a media savvy community that creates content as well as thinking about what and how we all consume – who knows how to set up a freeview channel?
As it stands, the only way to bypass the Freeview/Sky middlemen is on-demand video, and that's still to achieve critical mass.

I just wish they’d get rid of Choice...
And where would the good shows that are, or have been, on Choice go? They've aired quite a few BBC Documentary series that wouldn't otherwise have aired free-to-air here, why do you want these gone?

Hannibal might turn out to be a slow burner, or it might deserve those low figures.
Hannibal is extraordinary and beautifully shot, and features some of the most disturbing scenes I've ever seen on TV or in movies.

Quite! I don't get that sentiment at all.
