  • Islander,

It was one of the things I found most memorable after breaking my arm in 3 places late last year: quite a few xrays were taken of the arm, and none of the rest of me was shielded in anyway. The radiographer in the different hospitals was safely tucked behind the shield.

But, as a radiographer mate explained, "We're doing this dozens of times every work day - when was the last time you were x-rayed?"

Ur, about 2 decades ago when I stopped going to the dentist...

  • Steve Barnes,

The radioactive Boar story just goes to prove how easy it is to get your sticky mitts on our "Hard Earned Money"©,
I have heard it said, in some circles, that all you have to do to get funding for research is to claim that it is in respect of Antropiganal Globule Warming, or something, a scandal I tell you. It's about time scientists got back to doing what they are told to do and stop asking all those questions.
Is it me or is it getting hot in here.
    Yrs.
Rodney (I've got nothing too) Hide

  • recordari,

A round headed boar from Epsom
was turning his party to jetsum
    His petulant bride
    was tanning his hide
While he acted all jilted and fretsome.

  • Sofie Bribiesca,

Back with the creepy party. Like fleas on a dogs tail. No actually, more like around the arsehole. I knew this would happen.

Who needs the National Party when we have this class Act. Creep.

I've mentioned it before, but this could very well lead to the NZ edition of Livingstone vs Thatcher, if the people of Auckland elect Len Brown. It'd be darkly funny and ironic - not to mention hypocritical - if Mr Hyde abolished the local body system he designed, out of sheer sour grapes.

    Wagging. The. Dog.

Then again, they probably didn't count on the country's top unionist monkeywrenching free trade talks with the US. No big loss anyway, better no deal than a bad deal - just ask Australia's farmers and tech experts.

Hopefully by the time it would become apparent if Brown was going to be as adversarial toward a right-wing government as Livingtone was, Rodney will've suffered brutal electoral defeat in Epsom and Act will be but a nasty memory on our parliamentary landscape. He's certainly doing his utmost to ensure that he's unelectable by the burghers of Epsom, especially if National put up a worthwhile candidate.

  • Just thinking,

I'm sure there is some subtle difference I haven't cottoned on to, but why is Mclay in court and Hide in parliment.
They did much the same thing, didn't they?

...is there no pile of putrescent behaviour in this country that doesn't have that "Energiser bunny of evil", Rodney Hide, crawling from the core of it?
