• Russell Brown,

So a group of veterans have started swiftboating McCain's Vietnam experience. That sure didn't take long.

Registered on YouTube three weeks ago. Looks like either Democrats or the Ron Paul cult. The comments would suggest the latter.

But there's a significant difference from the Swiftboat escapades. The latter were claiming the official record of Kerry's conduct was wrong. These people are quoting his Senatorial votes back at him.

  • Russell Brown,

Just when everyone thought the Republicans were sweet -- three out of four people in the DC caucuses didn't vote for McCain.

TPM says they're refusing to release the last quarter of the votes, which suggests it gets worse.

DC is never going to be a target for the GOP, but, really ...

  • Ben Austin,

It looks that the Vets Youtube group at core hate McCain for his stance on the Vietnam MIA issue and work their way up from there.

Well, then you hear the observation - McCain is far enough ahead that if he loses every remaining vote with Huckabee on 50% and himself on 40%, McCain will still have the delegates to secure the nomination.

I think this is good, you should at least wait until people have voted before you release the vote tallies :-)

DC doesn't vote until Tuesday. At a primary, not a caucus.

Maybe Washington State? Certainly it usually goes Democrat, but it's closish (a 5-10% margin).

  • Craig Ranapia,

But I think the Dems will have to consider the will of a large number of voters in a state that has played a pivotal role in the past (remember 2000).

Why? Sorry if this sounds harsh, but unless the DNC clearly and egregiously over-reached (and without getting into the Kalfkaesque realm of American machine politics I don't think that's the case) it's tough tittle for breakfast, lunch and dinner. One proposal I've seen bruted around is that 'make-up' caucuses be held in Florida and Michigan. Don't see that being ideal in anyone's book-- but who was it who said the definition of the perfect 'compromise is 'the solution where all parties are equally unhappy'.

Duh. That's me cutting and pasting links with my eyes closed.

    Washington State, yes.

  • James Bremner,

Looks like Hillary is in for another good old fashioned hiding tomorrow. She is down double digits in VA and an Hispanic leader in TX just endorsed Obama, so her Texas / Ohio firewall strategy isn't looking so good at the moment (just ask Guilani about firewall strategies!!).
Watching Hillary implode is like watching a train wreck in slow motion, you just can't look away.
I don't see how the super delegates will be able to give their votes to Hillary over Obama's higher delegate total, no matter how hard the Clinton machine twists their arms and threatens to kneecap them.
