“Dear diary,
Today for the fourth time I pulled the girl at the dairy’s hair. Tomorrow I will be visited by the police.I wish i was the prime minister.”
This is a feminist issue and the national party pakeha are an embarrassing slite for white people. Jesus, this is an illustration of the thinness of the political conservative mind to the much needed idea of not just being a dick but also actively controlling your dick.

NOT being a dick, that's the hard part. So to speak.

I'd like to make a press council complaint about Glucina's alleged deceit. Anyone know if someone else is doing this already?
I keep going through Curry, Glucina and Tim Murphy's tweets, quotes and 'statements'. They started the day saying Bailey's claims (about Glucina) were totally untrue. Yet the final Herald statement seems completely - in a very weaselly way - compatible with Bailey's account. In some details it supports, in others confirms it.
There's an attempt to muddy the waters with talk of 'a pool story'.
Is this a real thing (apart from in extreme circumstances)? Is it common at the Herald that they'd share their copy? Has Glucina ever written a 'pool story' before? -
Jack Harrison, in reply to
It's also a story of low wage jobs. Do not fuck with the worker physically. That's a conservative principle. I'm not a liberal but I can't place the attitudes of some of my white bros on any political spectrum.

I've seen a couple of comments on Facebook and Twitter from people who say they have, but I coan't remember who, sorry.

Has Glucina ever written a ‘pool story’ before?Pool stories tend to happen when you've got really limited access, such as aboard Air Force One, or embedded in Iraq. You might get one also around a court case of particular note (unless it's about a Prominent New Zealander, of course). I doubt that Glucina has ever shared her lunch, let alone a story.
My understanding is that she went in posing as PR to help the employers and the victim manage the media fallout and help them craft a statement to be released. Once she had the photo and the interview, it turned into an article.

There is an assumption from glucinaville that we are all possibly the subject of gutter journalism. We are all dirty.
It is very unpleasant when the citizen is scared of the fourth estate.
Amanda has been stripped off her basic civil rights by the same journo who had an obsessive hate for a pretty decent local television N.Z media presenter and a friend of many. Amanda deserves a hawkseby pay out, they have fucked up her career. -
Unlike our media, the Guardian makes the link between Glucina and Dirty Politics and ponytailgate.
Since the waitress complained of the prime minister’s harassment in an anonymous post on leftwing site the Daily Blog on Wednesday, questions have arisen about the New Zealand Herald’s actions and its links to Key’s governing National party, which surfaced in the lead-up to last year’s general election.
Last year, Rachel Glucina was among several journalists implicated in Nicky Hager’s book Dirty Politics, which alleged senior government officials were executing smear campaigns against opponents with the help of media. Hager said he tried to avoid shaming journalists in the book, with the exception of Glucina, whom he described as “despicable”.
They've also got hold of a Herald internal email sent to editorial staff on Thursday afternoon, in which Currie defends Glucina and the way she went about obtaining the "interview" with Amanda Bailey. You can read that email here:
While Currie is attempting to take the moral high ground with claims that all parties were aware that they were participating in a Herald interview, at no stage does he say that he spoke with Amanda Bailey. One would have thought that was essential given the circumstances.
Conveniently, the Herald says there's no recording of Glucina’s interview.

John Key fucked it up. Look at Bradley Ambrose and his treatment once John key became involved.Look at the similarity with Bevan Chaung's treatment also from the same crowd around National. Key displays narcissistic tendencies . His brain fades are his attempts to hide information without having to show the true deceit. His threat to go to Hawaii if he doesn't win keeps his muppets in check (save the odd rogue like Collins, who will be enjoying this) He surrounds himself with all who have to be compliant. As soon as his guard is down and becomes exposed ,he has teams jumping in to protect him, from people like Glucina, Farrar,Hosking, Henry and now Currie and let's face it, all the other corners with Government loans like mediaworks and now R and D grants like Oracle,All places with a vested interest in staying on side with the JK Corporation.
Amanda's job was around the corner from Key's house, doubt if she's still there but if the job is,probably not for long. Key was at the cafe often. The bosses would love that in Parnell. They labelled her immediately with insinuating "strong political views" .To any reader, that meant, probably more pro Green/ labour. Glucina's brother works for Amanda's bosses. They got Amanda over to their bosses house into their comfort zone ,out of hers. They led her to believe Glucina was someone other than they all knew she was. Glucina has a photographer on speed dial, that's how Gossip columnists work.It was deceitful from the start. She believed in her bosses. They did not have her best interests at heart. They were more concerned about what people would think of their business and how it would be affected, not at all about Amanda.I think it says a lot about them and possibly why neither Amanda or management didn't complain in the first instance. It was never about Amanda's best interests, it was about damage control for John Key. -

It's on now. Giovanni Tiso is rolling out the boycott artillery again, this time against Mike Hosking.
-
The Herald has a couple of Key stories today. In the first Key denies that his credibility has been damaged.
Mr Key said the ponytail-pulling was the complete opposite to an abuse of power.
He brushed off the idea people were calling him "creepy" after the incident came to light.
"I think it's the opposite to what some people might think that there's a power imbalance.
So he's in denial then.
The other story concerns Stephie Key and "why she likes to get naked for art". That's accompanied by several images of the near naked Ms Key, coincidentally sporting rather prominent pink pigtails.

No, there's no boycott so far as I can see.
It's simply people writing to Hosking's boss and sponsor to make clear their feelings about his vile piece on Amanda Bailey.

I guess cafe staff can spit in your coffee. such power ..

On past form, Key wouldn’t recognise an abuse of power if it crawled up his arse and clawed its way past Hosking, DPF et al to die.
(They wouldn't recognise it either: it's dark up there.) -
Tremain’s latest (this morning's ODT editorial cartoon) – who says Key’s not a laughing stock – pony-boy will never hear the end of this ….

Yeah well, these things tend to take on an "animal husbandry" tone once they filter out to the provinces.

Expect to see straightfaced references to Key as National’s “show pony”.
Or demands to “pony up” over election promises and budget allocations.
Also puts “ponies for everyone” promises in a new light, doesn’t it?’Course, when a ponytail is raised,
one can only expect shit to follow.
