The truffle with dribbles...
Tuber or not tuber?
Gareth's Rosie's nose knows!
Well done that dog... -
Gareth, in reply to
It's the owner with dribbles, at the prospect of dinner chez Schwass tonight. Ten courses, three kinds of truffles...
Rosie will be out again shortly, doing her thing and earning some raw meaty bones for the weekend.

Dude! Degustation doggedness. Nice one.
Also, thanks for the thread revival Kyle. ;-)

Rosie's afternoon haul: 250 grammes of bianchetto truffle. Some is not saleable, but the vast majority will go at $3/g.
Cheers, Rosie!

How excellent to know Southern truffieres are coming into their own!
Well done! That man, that dog! -

Mother was a blue heeler/collie. Father of the top one was probably a kelpie. You can see one of his cousins working sheep aggressively here.
Bottom one dad looked basically like him, but even shaggier!

Be careful out there... -

Keeping NZ safe from snakes!
That looks about as frustrating for the dog as the laser pointer is for the cats!

I feel the dogs are being neglected what with all the human political shenanigans, and whatnot. Ruby continues to be a lovely, and rewarding, companion. Unfortunately, she’s in muzzle training at the moment. Not because she’s a vicious attack dog, but more because our dog park seems have become a place where she feels a little unsafe, for some reason, and her way of dealing with that seems to be to make very loud noises and ram into dogs who may not be aware of her charms - not all dogs, you understand, nor even most dogs. Just ones that look like they scare easily. Usually big ones, who roll over easily. So while all that’s happening, we’re having a break from our normal dog park and having lots of playdates and walks onleash, and exploring other places, and reminding her about what doggy manners are. She’s having a generally fantastic time, and I am pleased to announce that we seem to have broken the ” I don’t know you and you can’t come into my house without me making a huge fuss about it.” habit. We had a houseguest – yes, we did. Someone she’d never met before. The magic ingredient was cheese, and patience. So that’s been marvellous. Although if she loves you and we’re at your house, and a strange man arrives, who happens to live in the house, she will vociferously defend you. Against your own partner. But we have chicken, and cheese for that eventuality! And here’s a cute video.
