  • Nora Leggs, in reply to kalypso,

I hope a lurker can join in

Expect to see this on a pack of Christmas cards later in the year, how beautiful. : )

Ah. So that's what it takes to get you lurkers to come out of hiding? Good.

This is Po, my Scottish Fold / Cornish Rex cross. He's completely batshit crazy, and rarely poses for the camera for some reason. My other cat thinks he's a completely irritating dork, and sometimes I have to agree with her.

Our other best cat (long ago) was called JoJo, so it gave me a slight turn to see your name in the last post slot : ).

Hey, that's my view (minus cat) only you are a little lower. Do you have a current cat? If so it might be one of the many who come and visit my goldfish.

Our first cat, Bean. She died after being hit by a car outside our house, soon after this photo was taken, aged 1.

    What a beautiful young cat.

Here's Lote (named after the rugby league player who lives around the corner), Lote likes pulling what we call "dead cat" poses. this is one of his finest. A very affectionate cat, but a problem child after he put one of the neighbours in A&E...

Here's hoping the attachment automagically places the image where we want it...

Here’s a cat I saw on Caturday, asleep on a pile of newspapers in a run-down house.

Can I say the unsayable, and say that Ollie (RIP 2010), who we got after Bean, was not quite as loved?

I feel like that about our puppy, Ruby. She is so much naughtier than her predecessor, Cleo, but I am insanely in love with her.

  • JLM,

My daughter has just put this very timely cat-choosing link on her fb page. Seems to resonate with the celebration that is going on here, and hey, it's Ursula Leguin!

It's nice to see an interweb space where cat/cute picture crossovers can claw (hur hur) back some of the respect they deserve.

Having said that, this is still one of my favourite sites.

Tigger, aka the BFC (big fat cat) in his majestic prime, October 2003.

He's got some kind of unspecified cancer now, lost 50% of his bodyweight in the last few months, but a huge dose of steroids has given him his appetite back and he's trying to fatten himself back up. 2.5 tins of cat food per day.
