1967–82: The "Dead Wings" Era
Hard to believe the Red Wings were that crap for that long.
For mine, I'd like to put forward Toronto as worst North American sport town. The Raptors are at best average, and always choke in the playoffs (if they make it). The Jays haven't made the playoffs since they won the whole shebang in the early 90s. And most importantly, the Leafs, who're the only team anyone in TO gives a shit about, haven't won a cup in 40 years, and haven't even made the playoffs the last 3 years. Oh, and they have an MLS franchise which also sucks.

Why debate actual issues when you can debate utterly pointless semantic arguments (about which you're incorrect, incidentally. ScottY's 2nd to last post is correct).
It has taken this thread to make me want to read several posts of Graeme's pedantry :P. It seems positively... substantial in comparison.
At least he's usually right. And not legally incoherent.
