    Actually even an A3 scanner

Ian we have an up-to-A3 printer/scanner bought three months ago that you can use if wanted. Dunno much about it: I can email you the specs if you are good at wrangling them. (I haven't used it for much yet and maybe only a couple of scans.) Has card slots and stuff.

  • Capture: Tribute - Dr Chris Ward,

I am also saddened by ChrisW not being around here, and I have missed him. I loved his river life pictures and many others. Once I got through thinking he was also Chris Waugh, I saw a patient and generous photographer with a love of place and people. He taught me a lot.

  • Polity: Is being a tax haven worth it?, in reply to Deborah,

Steve Barnes is now very fucking banned.

Well, that makes it easier for me to comment here again. It’s a shame that we’ve lost some other women from this site in the meantime.

    Ditto.

  • Polity: Is being a tax haven worth it?, in reply to Paul Brislen,

I find it hard to believe the government, senior ministers and all, are spending so much time defending a position based on its value to us of $24 million a year.

There has to be more to it than that and that, frankly, worries me.

    Exactly.

  • Up Front: What Sorry Looks Like,

Quite. To call that an apology was sick. The piece was self-serving, showed faux humility, and it was thoroughly questionable in its intent and execution.

If Tony Veitch were indeed sorry, he would just shut up about it in public and get around to apologising to Kristin Dunne-Powell. If he were truly sorry, that apology would have happened way before now.

  • Speaker: Talking past each other:…, in reply to Russell Brown,

Peeled (no green to alert him) zucchini finely grated into the pizza dough.
Brewer's yeast mixed w grated cheese or the dough for B vitamins. Or under the cheese on pizza or toast.
Cream cheese on simple bread (not wholegrain but unbleached white flour) - maybe sourdough?
Banana "ice-cream": frozen banana fed through an auger juicer.

Apple pud: stewed smooth peeled apple. Top w toasted coconut-ground oat mix (put in hot frypan and stir till pale) and whipped cream. Cream could have a small amount of creamy yoghurt stirred in. Contrast of textures and warmth was soothing.

Oldest was incredibly hard to persuade to eat - these were some strategies that worked. When I was stressing, the doc reminded me a potato had as much vitamin C as an orange. And will he drink fizz? If so Redoxon for B's and C.
