Yes, he's not akshully changing his story daily, as Greenwald notes, but hourly!

  • Speaker: The End of Trust, in reply to Danielle,

Hmm, you haven't worked on magazines then. There is tons of stuff which is pure PR/Advert, no disclaimers. So prevalent nowadays, very depressing.

  • Hard News: 2014: The Meth Election, in reply to James George,

An amazing interview. 7.12 "You're dealing with a government that has systemic issues of political corruption".
    Succinct.

  • Hard News: 2014: The Meth Election, in reply to Jake Starrow,

No. Certainly not rich. Earning less than 20k. But I can be a prick, especially when dealing with John Key fan boys and their lame-ass assumptions.

  • Hard News: 2014: The Meth Election, in reply to Russell Brown,

I presume he means 'direct mail'. I got one too, letter addressed to me. I live in the Epsom electorate, fuck knows why they thought I'd have any interest in it. We're not all rich pricks round here you know.

  • Hard News: Privacy and the Public Interest,

Andrea Vance finally admitting she's a pointless, waste of space and at the same time defining the 'nothing to see here' modus operandi of Key et al:

    http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/politics/10466666/Looking-here-looking-there-looking-forward-to-election-day

Guess that now the election is all over she can go and buy some more shoes or get her fringe trimmed or, you know, whatever…..

  • Hard News: Dirty Politics,

There doesn't seem to be any fire from the opposition. 'Anger is an energy'. Get up on the box and demand to see what these 'tax cuts' are RIGHT NOW because Key said they were all ready to go on monday but the shooting in Ashburton happened? So they had them all ready to go, yes? NO, of course not. He was lying as was Joyce on the radio this morning. There IS NO PLAN. They have nothing but no-one in the media is pulling them up?
It's like a fight in a bad dream when your arms don't work, your just can't move them. Wake the fuck up RIGHT NOW.

  • Hard News: Privacy and the Public Interest,

    I despair.
Where are we? This is the place to spill your effluent into the rivers, where mines explode and ships ground and children suffer 19th century diseases. Eat cheap shit and suck down the cheap grog, it's all good, mate.
Deregulate to fuck every service, every public amenity, bowl down the statehouses, let the mentally ill wander and wonder, it's all good, mate.
Starfuck the USA and sell out your soul to the TPPA, kill the terrorists by remote control, hand them the line that we're 100% pure, we're driven snow, we're the green fields, it's all good mate.
This is the place where a liar prospers and fools flourish, you can cheat, you can swindle 'cos no-one's watching, no-one who matters really cares, and anyway, those that do matter are part of the club, they're sorted, it's all good, mate.
Ethics? Fuck 'em. Scruples? Get real. Honour? Overated. Get yourself in the picture with the All Blacks, shoot the breeze with the brain-dead radio jocks, lean on the journos, bullshit and bluster, it's all good, mate.
    What's he building in there?
The big lie. The biggest ever,
    Aah, Sweet!

  • Hard News: Dirty Politics,

It's utterly depressing. The New Zealand I thought I knew has hardened into a mini-me reflection of the very worst of american republican/democrat division.
A trivial analogy would liken it to one of those Beatles stereo LPs from the early days.

Stuff in the right channel, stuff in the left channel and a yawning chasm in the middle. Of course, there are the other parties operating but the continual propaganda shaping their profile to the hard-core entrenched head-in-the-sanders has them as some sort of greek hydra or worse.

Key is appalling. Charmless, smarmy, witless, utterly untrustworthy. But to his supporters he's _their_ charmless, smarmy, witless liar and you'd have to pry him from their cold, dead hands.

The government are neck deep in Slaters pigshit yet it seems that as long as the head-in-the-sanders can still see the flop sweat on Key's brow it's a sign he still has a pulse.

    It's a travesty.

  • Hard News: Dirty Politics, in reply to Paul Williams,

Josie McNaught was on here just the other day:

I used to do the panel regularly (goodness knows they could do with a few more women regardless) but after having a couple of swipes at Key, I ended up way down the list – and heard unofficially that the govt media team didn’t like the cut of my jib – but that might also be the fact that RNZ only want Jane Clifton (and the other Josie who inhabits that murky world between “communications and journalism” ) to talk politics. Because I do arts stuff I’m not allowed to step over the line into big boy politics stuff. I recently heard they had a new chick on – she runs a PR firm – but did she tell the listeners who her clients are??? No way. You’ll just have to work that out from who she “promotes” on the show
