Governments regularly cut taxesMaybe yes maybe no.
Once a tax has been introduced it will never be removed and once an asset it sold they won't rebuy it unless it is run so bad it is failing and then they will bail it out or buy it again and then later resell it - e.g. Air NZ.

What he says is valid IMHO.
He did support the Labour and NZ First originally - but that didn't go to well.
Should Owen Glenn do something new or helpful I would wait to see what that is and hear from those he helped/assists and let them be the judge.
National have to first win the election I understand - though Mr Glenn may do something anyway.

Yes, Owen Glenn is the self-regarding bloke who throws money at things so he can plaster his name on them. As if we need any more business schools, which are the ruination of universities.
I would say that the ruination of universities is too much policy, the overarching self interest of adminstrators, and not enough room for an education of any significance regardless of the discipline.
Where someone wishes to act in a manner that is altruistic or philanthropic I don’t tend to regard it as an evil or a matter that would piss me off - I seem to recall that the input he was willing to put in was if National remained as the govt.

I can't wait to see how crazy Act's campaign address is. I shall be rather put out if it isn't.
It will be a Requiem - Grant them eternal rest - I pray - and also to the forgotten ghosts of the fourth Labour Govt - any survivng members must surely be voting National to see that the "business" they started is well and truly finished.
NZ is borrowing 380 mill a week, annually we come up with a shortfall of 20 billion or thereabouts - there are approx 1.2 million people paying tax - so to do what we are currently doing as a nation and with out buying Len Brown a train set - we should bill each tax payer an additional $16,500.
Problem solved - Party Vote adn Party some more with Dexter for books balanced early and problems solved.

Still, if you want to talk about perverse outcomes if the election was held tomorrow The Greens would get my party vote. Norman and Turei faintly annoyed me, but I wanted to bottle Goff and Key.
I think you should be able to change your electoral vote so that you can have two party votes and you should be able use full bottles. Then I would party vote Green and NZ First.
Given the opportunity to write your own history - well - you leave out the truth - of course you do.
The advt shows how far the Labour of today are from the West Coast roots and the Working Day Association. Michael Joseph Savage today would not get a look in.
A thought about both major parties - deficits and surpluses come and go - but assets sales and introduction of taxes well they last forever. It doesn't really matter if both tyres are flat and the chain has slipped off - Lets put training wheels on the economy.
I am a little surprised that Labour was ever got voted out of office - they are just so fantastic and have saved us so many times it is just incredible - I expect to see them campaigning with their underpants on the outside.
Consider the duality of incompetence say Rena for instance - we have a National Govt that doesn't ratify or adopt the provision and a Labour Govt that spends down the fund.
