  • Hard News: It Began ... in Chicago,

I managed to catch the end of the orbital raves and then got seriously caught up in early jungle scene which meant no travelling... why would ya... was all well punk enough for me

I feel very lucky to have experienced something not fully formed... which is the beauty of so much of the Trax era of dance... simple machine music for the feet and the soul

  • Hard News: Welfare: Back to the Future?,

the fact that the working group recommends free contraception for those on the DBP suggests they have no faith in their solutions... for isn't the entire belief behind them that "these people" won't be on the benefit for long enough to father/mother multiple children whilst claiming state support?

maybe they're just hedging their bets... in the knowledge their solutions will fail

  • Hard News: Friday Recommends,

    RIP Peter ‘Sleazy’ Christopherson

Throbbing Gristle founder Peter ‘Sleazy’ Christopherson died “peacefully” in his sleep on Nov 24 at the age of 55 in his Bangkok home.

Born in Leeds, England, the industrial music pioneer was also a founding member of Coil and Psychic TV after Throbbing Gristle disbanded in 1981, as well as recording solo work under the name The Threshold HouseBoys Choir. Most recently he founded Soisong in 2007 with Ivan Pavlov.

The news was made official today when Throbbing Gristle bandmates Cosey Fanni Tutti and Chris Carter tweeted: “Our dearest beautiful Sleazy left this mortal coil as he slept in peace last night. words cannot express our grief.” Other artists, like Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor also took to Twitter to express their grief: “I awake to sad news. RIP Peter Christopherson – friend and huge inspiration."

dude was a legend in my musical world

  • Hard News: Some sort of pun on "Groove"…,

at the Cabana not the KA?

At a guess I doubt they are looking to expand on the current print run nor locations it can be found...

Cheers for the St Chant tip Russell, was brilliant & funny as hearing them play it at at the critics choice thingy

  • Hard News: Some sort of pun on "Groove"…,

Good show to Real Groove and all it's crew for lasting so long

print media about music just seems so antiquated in todays digital age... online is instant and is a much better format for the long interview and obsessive rant... as it can come with audio, video and links to downlaod/purchase etc. something hard copy print just can't compete with

I used to spend up to 300 a month on music magazines of varying sorts... nowadays its zero
