Hard News: The Engagement, in reply to
What the TV cameras didn’t show was that the Duchess was interviewed exiting an awards ceremony at the Apollo Theatre, home of The Wizard of Oz musical, Wicked.
Would have been more appropriate if she'd been to this.

Hard News: I'm not a "f***ing cyclist".…, in reply to
Fools who repeatedly drive drunk.
The "cyclist" who prised the u-bolt from the wall of my front porch, and rode off with the thing dangling from the "security" chain (I was just in time to witness him disappearing into the distance) left a near-full can of shit-bourbon-mix on the front step in his haste to make off. Maybe the other three bike thieves I've encountered in recent years were pissed too.

Yes, indeed, HRH Camilla did use the word “wicked” but in the modern sense of the word . . .
Wicked? 90s kiddiespeak. And the 'wicked' stepmother's 63, FFS.
The kind of contortion you're working yourself into to justify some dismal palace PR flack's attempt at presenting a down-with-the-kids Camilla could lead to a case of grovel rash. -
People who ride bikes can be arseholes too, unless the four bikes I've had pinched in the last four years were stolen by motorists. If you happen to be driving and spot a metallic blue Giant Cypress with Vaude panniers, missing since mid-August, feel free to wing the bastard.

Somehow dressing up in a metal skin transforms us from humans into arseholes.
So can spandex, though not nearly so much.
The footpath is the safest place to ride. I do it every day, where I can get away with it. I did at least a couple of Ks on the footpath today, and only got one dirty look. -

Did Good King Leonardo precede Leopold? Perhaps he overthrew Babar, which seems out of character. Is Bongo Congo the same as the Congo? DID they have religion? DID they have a vision? I could never turn from their revel in derision.

More Canadians (Warning: Lumberjacks)
-
accustomed to Canadian culture
Mounties spanking lumberjacks, saying 'Don't do it again, Pierre,'
Pictures of rotten teeth as health warnings on maple syrup packaging.
I love a good stereotype, please don't anyone spoil it for me. -
And the “characters”, dear Lord. John Banks, Jim Bolger, Chris Fletcher, Graham Thorne, Simon Upton, Muldoon, Murray McCully, Jenny Shipley, Winston Peters, Bill Birch, Ross Meurant –
Pretty much what anyone would experience after buying a 2.5 kilo bag of spuds and contemplating the contents before submitting them to the scourer. Sad evidence of Lhawsie's squalid between-floozies existence.

Speaker: My People, in reply to
Some of my reasoning is built on frustration over the country’s political conservatism, our fear of change and readiness to buy into the politics of envy and fear. Envy of the rich – eg Australia, John Key – and fear of crime, but also fear of poverty and welfare dependency. Rather than feed this fear it might be cleverer to restructure the system by which state funds to assist parents in the raising of children are distributed.
So, let's appease Mr & Mrs Redneck Busybody by appearing to penalise people who probably aren't having kids to rort the system, but just in case they actually are, what'd be the harm?
Jesus wept.
