Tony’s no stranger to the water. His mother Jeanette always stuck up for his right to an education and he was part of the first satellite class at Avondale College

Todays news of the fight for equality.

  • Hard News: Mandela, in reply to BenWilson,

Thanks for it. It’s an important confession to say one was pro-Tour to people who are likely to be hostile to that position,

Ummm.....Mathew was only 9 at the time. To be "Pro Tour" at that age was probably along the lines of "Mum and Dad were so I must be".

When I was younger and foolisher I gave "what ho" to a Canadian South African (from the British SA side) at the time the Olympics were being boycotted. The realisation that there were/are two white worlds in South Africa came as a revealing shock when I delved deeper.

  • Hard News: Mandela, in reply to Hebe,

I am so happy for him that he died at home, at 95, with his people. Who would have thought in 1981 that could happen?

South African friends have commented that the Hamilton game - which I am sure was the first time a live broadcast of an international rugby game was shown in South Africa - was acknowledged to be one of the final straws on the camels back that eventually brought about SA "Independence".

    And that 1995 game.......

  • Legal Beagle: Not burglary?,

Is "intent" to break the bottle/glass thingy a magic word? If you "accidentally" drop it then does that take the intent away?

Hmm...does "placing" an empty bottle on the ground - without breaking it - in a public place take away the intent?

Forget it. Previous section has "deposit" in it.

My Great great great great grandfather's house he built in Longford, Tasmania. Just visited it. The middle two story bit is the original part. The inside is still beautifully finished and original.

  • Hard News: How do you sleep?,

How do I sleep? Horizontally seems to provide the best zzzs. Any other position gives unsustained somnia.

As far as sex being useful. Apparently it is a no no to fall asleep on top in the afterglow. Dreamy for the one on top, a nightmare for the one on the bottom.

    Edit: YES Ben:

It's an extremely simple formula, I just stop thinking.

  • Speaker: About Radio NZ's new…,

I DID like the division of the populace I heard recently (RNZ???) The Natives and Migrants. The Natives are the Millennnials, those who were born into the digital world (<35 yrs) , Migrants who have (had to) move(d) into it. (>35 yrs). Cute……but sadly true….

So this is Nat-ive Radio at it’s best !
