WB would only consider the boycott was lifted when they had notice from all the unions that supported it, and gave notice to their members a susch, that the ban was llifted.

So until that took place then they would consider teh boycott was still in effect.

Histroy is written by the Victor - WC - will be interesting to read Jackson Bio on this in years to come.

There are likely to be no winners.

Entropy conceptually considered is that the "elements" in a system evolve to the greatest level of entropy - disorder. It is a why the measured universe is forever expanding and not contracting.

It might have been Einstein that considered the natural order of thing was that they evolved to their greatest level of entropy possible. It is part of thermodynamics and physics and chemistry.

When you try to say harness the energy in system entropy is the measure of how much of that energy is unavailable to you. With a system that has a high level of entropy your efforts to harness energy that you can use will likely be fruitless.

So when you design, create or release something you have to be cognisant of the likely level of entropy.

In the context of the shambles created by NZEA - MMEA(NZ)I - the situation has evolved to an impressively high level of entropy - in that the people that sought to control the employment environment of others by dropping the blacklist bomb have no control over the result and the result will have no benefit to them - such that it may even take them out of the game.

IMHO taking them out of the game would appear to be a good outcome.

Sofie Bribiesca - It isn't about "feelings" and "working together is going to get horrible" - it is primarily about saving the Te Hobbit and the jobs that went with it.

It is stems from the imposition of the blacklist - which is where the shit hits the fan.

With NZAE - MEAA(NZ)I - incoporated on 8 Oct and the papers filed to incoporate on 27 Sept.

How did people get appointed to the NZEA - MEAA(NZ)I governing committee - were they voted in, when were the elections held, did MEAA Oz appoint them - or did they appoint themselves?

Sofie Bribiesca - Say What - What is the only one good thing:

The "underlying feeling that does exist for some people in the industry"

    &

"Some people just leave because certain aspects just are not fair!"

What is the underlyng feeling and what are the certain aspects?

How dio people get to know about this "underlying feeling" and these "certain aspects"?

The Jennifer Ward-Leland connection and targeting of the Hob over Spart truly sucks.

“I want to fight for actors rights when it won’t affect me”.

The NZAE – MEAA (NZ) I - quite unhinged - the e-mail and the website are drivel.

The employment law changes could well be:

    1) That a union in NZ has to exist as a union in NZ in its own right - with its own rules and executive and not be a branch of an offshore union.

    2) That any decision on industrial action has to be made by the membership via a valid resolution.

    3) That it is unlawful for a union executive to initiate industrial action without a valid resolution.

    4) That all union rules must be in the rules and not make reference to another set of rules somewhere else.

    5) A new status of contracts - a "short term contractors agreement" and a "shotr term collective contractors agreement" that can be negotiated by "bargaining agents" (not necessarily a union) on behalf of an independent contractors or a pool of independent contractors.

IMHO the situation will likely resolve with the law change annoucement.
