But -- of, of course -- it'll be tied up with DRM that locks out Mac OS and Linux users.

I'm amazed that Microsoft have chosen to lock non-Vista users out of viewing the online olympics coverage. I don't see how they think they reverse Vista's bad press by making a move like that, and surely the big win would be encouraging Silverlight installations by opening the service up to other platforms!

I've been a happy .Net developer for several years as well as a satisfied Vista user - but I seriously expected better from them.

  • Hard News: Contains strong language,

For what t's worth, ASBO's were thought up in part to address the fact that it's unbelievably difficult for a landlord to evict tennants in the UK, no matter how they are behaving or even if they don't pay any rent.

This doesn't apply to NZ though, so I agree entirely with the post - keep ASBO law in the UK please. I suppose I just want to emphasise that the UK has waaaay more problems than ASBO's.

  • Hard News: Unusual Democracy,

I was horrified while reading that 'NZ election' report. Then I got to the punchline and thought "oh, yeah, well we all knew that". Shocking lack of suprise.

  • Hard News: Launching into raunch,

I cannot see how you can watch porn and not feel at guilt at enjoying the sometimes very clear expolitation of a fellow human being.

I feel bad for people who work at McDonalds but I love a Quarter Pounder now and then.

  • Hard News: Inauspicious,

It's hard to be pleased about his execution when he wasn't allowed to provide a statement about US support for his regime over the last two decades. I couldn't care less whether he's dead or alive, as long as he isn't in power and as long as the equivalent bastards in the US government are likewise held responsible for their own affairs.
Why would anyone be pleased about someone being killed?
