    Even luckier! The installation and gear was free, as is the first three months usage! Orcon rockz!

    Yeah those are some sharp plans they've just pushed out. However did you read the T&C's !?:

    "If, in Orcon's sole opinion, your usage is so heavy that it materially exceeds estimated use patterns over any month or Orcon believes that your usage of our services will adversely affect the quality of the service received by other customers, then Orcon may (in its sole discretion):

    - de-prioritise your access to the network;

    - apply charges to your account for the excessive and/or unreasonable element of your usage;

    - suspend or restrict access to your service; or

    - terminate your service.

    Where reasonable, Orcon will provide you with notice before suspension, restriction or termination. If we terminate your services and you have agreed to a fixed contract term you may have to pay the applicable early termination fee.""

    Apologies for the off topic.

    Keith in the final screen shot with the open file dialogue showing hyper-v-firewall.bat it appears you're editing said file.

    Did you add the text "I can edit this file.." and save successfully?

    NZ is a trifle slacker. I’ve seen cordless phones being used in defence establishments.

    Listening in on analogue was/is literally childs play ("lets keep pressing the 'Channel' button until we hear the neighbours")

    DECT (compromised but very specialist) and DSS (secure if implemented correctly)

    Good ole RadioNZ just reported that the Kiosk system was previosuly audited by a private contractor (missed the name) whom obviously failed to detect the completely fucked implementation.

    Massive fail on top of massive fail.

    "Ministry chief executive Brendan Boyle says private company **Dimension Data** was hired to test the security of the kiosks prior to Mr Ng's experience and reported no problems." RadNZ

    DiData implicated in massive NZ govt data breach Good, prompt stuff Juha

    Thanks for your valuable, not to mention insightful, contribution.

    Cheers; I believe it is moral and correct for such exorbitant excesses to be highlighted. Such greed and profiteering is one of the many ills of the neo-lib quick sand we are floundering in.

    Following the latest interim profit reporting season, Australia's four big banks are on track to deliver combined annual profits of $22 billion

    Of course, this requires you have enough “spare” staff that you have people able to take 2 weeks of leave in one block and do one anothers’ jobs. If you’ve got hung up over “efficiency” and fired all the “dead wood” to save a bit of money, well…

    Thank goodness the banking sector is making sufficient profits to support these policies. Hope your pay packet is tasty too.

    If the sysadmin set the original machine up using her own account, her privileges may well have been inherited by the ‘kiosk’ image.

    Nostalgic lol.

    S.W.I.M had great fun way back in school days achieving admin privileges by copying a local copy of the Admin profile on top of another non-admin login. Win95; those were the days.
