My finest hour was at Toy Love gig, aged about 7, microphone crackles "hello Martha and Hana". We glowed.

I find ones home the finest place to work. No workmates, no boss, lots of chocolate and a couch.

Man, I can hardly breathe after reading that. My heart goes out to Finlee's family and friends. I can't imagine a greater loss.

I went to a Steiner school as a child, and it took me YEARS to be able to use the terms "Mr" or "Mrs" after that. In fact, I still can't.
When I book planes for the family I use my husband's academic title. It hasn't got us a decent seat yet.

I'm not religious, before I had kids I'd never said "there but for the grace of god go I". Since I've had children, I seem to say it to myself almost on a daily basis.

I think all these ideas are way too fast.
I suggest going to a pet store, buying a bowl and some sea snails, tadpoles, weed, maybe a few fish and watch the things slime up over several weeks.
Mmmm slime.

Much as I want you and your lovely family to come back, I wouldn't recommend it. This place is totally crap at the moment. So crap even gin isn't helping.

For those of us with friends in America there are new seasons of Top Chef and Big Love starting next week. Yay.

I'm a bit confused. Do the renters want to own or not? Or is it a case of having given up? Because I think renting is awesome. So is clever investment.
I don't know how to do clever investment. I haven't a clue. I tried a super fund once, and seemed to make about $3.60 over two years.
Houses are easy investment and happen to conveniently coincide with the need to live somewhere. I'm sure there are better ones, but I don't understand them.
Of course, I had to give up a Mt Vic lifestyle to own a house. I think people need to acknowledge that for generations people have compromised where they want to live for home ownership. That is kind of how it happens.
