Ahem, by "superiority in age" you of course mean 2 years younger?
Have you not heard the saying, "hell hath no fury like a woman whose age is revealed in public?"
Methinks me dost protest too much...!!
To change the subject, I think, as it turns out, most of us are dunners but owing to the peculiarities of the English language we didn't know it.......maybe except for Jen....

I liked the fact the light was swinging as the house went past, and the stove seemed to still sit triumphantly in the kitchen like the last appliance standing.
Fingers crossed for no (or not much) rain in Dunsandel. Doesn't Dun mean hill? Can't recall any hills that way. So, I looked it up.
    Dun can actually mean:
    (v. t.) To cure, as codfish, in a particular manner, by laying them, after salting, in a pile in a dark place, covered with salt grass or some like substance.
(n.) A mound or small hill.
(a.) Of a dark color; of a color partaking of a brown and black; of a dull brown color; swarthy.
(n.) One who duns; a dunner.
    (v. t. & i.) To ask or beset, as a debtor, for payment; to urge importunately.
(n.) An urgent request or demand of payment; as, he sent his debtor a dun.

I particularly like, "one who duns; a dunner."
One sees how 80K can be spent when the risks are considered of driving off the river bank and hitting powerlines........and potentially resuscitating palpitating passers by....

Aaarrggh!! Way to go, David and Jen. I am most impressed with all that machinery. Can't believe I checked in exactly on moving day! I'll be watching for updates. Glad the weather has been kind this month and long may it continue ( or at least until the house is safely re-hitched at t'other end.....

HI David! All the best dads are "sled dogs!" I remember a certain pink baby's bath tub we used to shoot down the back lawn in, although snow would have been cooler than grass...no pun intended..the igloo is fairly impressive too....I think the snowman's fate was probably already sealed?

No snow here in Blenheim on Monday (well, mountains only) although parts of Nelson got it at home (over Mapua way), but my inlaws just had snow they could visit easily...the best kind.

Lots of ice at Waikawa marina in the mornings though!

St Arnaud would have been nice...somewhere I have piks of us having a picnic by Lake Rotoiti with snow down to the shoreline from a couple of years ago. Quite magical. Unless it hangs around too long......

Hope you are all keeping warm... : )
