It maddens me that this seems to have been reduced to "they shouldn't have hired a stripper" and "how else would you expect them to behave". They should be able to hire a stripper, and treat them like a human being. I see nothing wrong with them hiring a stripper - I see a massive problem in their behaviour, and the infuriating "boys will be boys" attitude about it.

Can't these news outlets that simply repackage news at least dig a little deeper? Take for example a seemingly innocuous story of vehicle clamping that I came across on thespinoff.co.nz earlier today. It had previously been covered by Story and stuff.co.nz in a manner that I probably wouldn't have even hovered over, let alone clicked on. But by investigating further, David Farrier makes this into an enticing and captivating read! My breath remains abated until the next part of the tale.

I'm really enjoying these posts - much needed analysis and discussion. I'm reminded of whenever the Democrats in the US would attempt to discuss the "wealth gap", and the Republicans would immediately start screaming "class warfare". It seems to me that an important step in moving past this is the press actually asking politicians to clarify what their rhetoric means. This discussion has made it suddenly clear to me that everyone thinks they know what all these clichés mean, but we actually have no idea, not because we're uninformed, but because they often have no clear meaning.

My old man's a builder, and he uses trig a lot - calculating fall, that sort of thing. Also I think the old 3-4-5 is still the best way of getting something square on a larger scale...

I like what Green Man have done with the name - ("radler" is German for "cyclist")
